A great show from the quartet days, back with J. Glenn on drums and Johnny Quaid on guitar along with JJ and TTT.

The most interesting song here is song No. 8 on the Live Music Archive's track listing - "One Big Holiday." Yes, One Big Holiday in 2000, at the beginning of that year, and three good years before they laid it down on an album!

Crazy to think OBH could've ended up on At Dawn just as easy as It Still Moves. But to listen to it in its baby phases is interesting - a couple times, they don't quite hit the right notes and there are some different phrasings in there as well.

Oh, and by the way, OBH slides almost seamlessly into "I Will Sing You Songs."

"Weeks Go By Like Days" is a rarity. They end the set with a couple other oldies but goodies - "Honest Man" and "Lil Billy" (when I first noticed the band had this song, I desperately hoped it was a cover or some bastardization of The Who's "Little Billy," from their "Odds 'n' Sods" collection).

"Honest Man" enjoyed a revival in 2006 and early 2007, but hasn't been a major show in many of their sets since 2002. Too bad - it's a great jam, and one of the few "bluesy" songs in the catalog.

Overall, a great "early days" gem.

Anyways, go on LMA (www.archive.org) and seek it out. I didn't want to put a link directly to the show, as I think CC Baxter didn't like links directly to downloadable items.

It would be amazing to hear Honest Man live someday. It's pretty high up on my wishlist with Steam Engine, It's About Twilight Now and Strangulation.

Yup..think of how they could really rip that up, like they do with War Begun now.  :)

Honest Man is sooooooo badass!  I will easily loose my shite when I see that one live.  :D I was wishing for it in Chicago, but it just wasn't the right time I suppose.  I'll keep waiting patiently. :)
Because we're all in this together...
