I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Kory, did you have a strobe set up?

From the pictures of the audience it looks like someone has a transmitter on their camera...but its kinda hard to make it out clearly...

No, I didn't pull a flash the whole night, I didn't see anyone with an SLR with a strobe. The guy next to me had the same camera as me and was using the pop up flash here and there... they shouldn't include a pop up flash on a D700, it's just embarrassing.

QuoteVenues need to start enforcing a 'shut the fuck up or get the fuck out!' policy. Seriously  :-/

i know it's a horse that's been beaten quite often, but i've been watching the youtube videos (thanks a million for posting those) and it's absolutely infuriating to have to listen to all the nonstop yakking going on during the performance.    jim freakin' james is playing for you and you'd rather chat with your buds? why are these people even there? :-?

one apparently inebriated young woman is prominently featured throughout.  i've never met her, but i don't like her. >:(

in this photo it looks like someone has a transmitter on a camera, but it's really hard to make out.  http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv141/AlexanderD10/2.jpg

anyways, nice photo of jim with the available light

and, i also hate that rambling whore.  i woulda been so pissed if i was at the show and she was anywhere in my vicinity.

so, is it confirmed that someone got a quality recording of the whole thing?

Yeah it's just like those fratboy douche bags that were at the new years show. Except these people only thought they were in an arena and that it was ok to talk and be annoying the entire time

Ghosts_on_TV

You guys should have been at the fleet foxes show in Philly a couple months ago. You could hardly even hear them amongst the fucking talkers. God I hate that shit.

Thanks to Kory for bringing the mic stand, Jim for allowing recording at his shows and to the Rudyard Kipling for existing. We're lucky to have such a nice venue in town with great owners.

Thanks for taping, being prompt with uploading, and for being patient with me stepping over your rig whenever I need to get up.

There was a guy Thursday that was in the front talking to someone on his cell when it was completely quiet and Jim was playing drums on his guitar.  What the hell?

You know I am going to go ballistic on people if that happens at the MOF shows.  Though I am starting to notice that the true fans who are there to listen to the music have had it up to here with the wannabees and the people who are there to get drunk or socialize or whatever hell else.  When I saw Fleet Foxes this past summer, a girl standing beside me turned around to a bunch of girls giggling and talking on their cellphones and yelled "SHUT THE FUCK UP, I WANNA HEAR THE BAND, NOt YOU IDIOTS".  The girls promptly left the area.

i didn't notice the talking as much when YY was playing but during the other bands, it was LOUD. the chat moderator said that louisville audiences are known for that, but i think it's pretty universal. i've noticed it here a lot, too.
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill
