Well, I'll definitely be there. Lovedog knows the manager at Bearno's who is a Jacket fan as well so he was down to host an afterparty. Candace and I will be singing some tunes for sure.

It's the Bearno's on Bardstown Rd. in the Highlands, just to be clear, there are 3 or 4 of them. The preparty is at the same BBC we first met at four years ago. :o Hope you can make it to both.

Is anybody planning on going to Fourth Street Live after the show? Me and my roommate are coming from Knoxville, TN and have never been to Louisville before. We are looking for a cool club or bar and I heard that Fourth Street is the way to go. Anybody from the area have any insight?

4th st live is a good place to go if you feel like getting into a fight with a guy with a popped collar. Not really my scene though.

it's THAT touristy area. you should jump in a cab and come out to meet other MOF/MMJ fans at the place Teo's talking about :-)

4th street live is within stumbling distance. You'll have to take a cab or stay sober enough to drive to get to the Highlands, 10 or 15 mins, wait we're talking about Halloween night so 15-20 but you get a chance to see the freaks on Bardstown Rd. You Brown Hotelers should ride together and get yellow cab to send one of their vans over.

Bearno's has a loft that is accessible to that badass beer garden as well as the restaurant. There is also a private restroom up there, and they will probably designate a server for us.

Usually it costs quite a bit (especially on a Halloween Saturday night) to reserve that room (holds up to 50) but the General Manager, Michael was kind enough to lend it to us until we drop. A) because he likes Jim/MMJ/MOF and B) he like to hear the Green Woods. I do however, think it would be a nice gesture to eat up and drink up while we are there, so he will think it was worth letting us have. What I mean is-if you're hungry after the show, don't stop by McDonald's...wait and grab some tasty grub at Bearno's. They've got a lot of good beers on tap, as well as in bottles. Full bar too! (It's not in the can yet, but he'll probly give us drink specials!)

It will be a great scene. I look forward to meeting a lot of you. And I look forward to seeing the ones I already know.

Remember this: This is Halloween. This is Monsters of Folk. This is Louisville. These are Jacket Peeps. Don't sell yourself short. I look forward to these events more than family holidays. Louisville bars don't close until 4 am. Be prepared to party. We (some of you) may not meet up again for awhile if ever. Don't be so tight that you "can't" afford a cab that night. I promise, if you loosen up, you'll have a good time.

so i just found out that i am flying solo to Louisville (literally). I would love to meet up with some people from this forum. I understand Bearno's after. what about before? and i know i keep bringing this up but MoF isnt playing at BBC after, right?

BBC-Downtown before the show.

I may be stepping out on a limb here, but if Jim decided to take the fellas around town after the show, I'd say there would be several other places on the list before BBC-Downtown.

But to be safe, if you wanted to go to BBC after the show and then head to Bearno's after you check that out, I totally get the peace of mind in that.

Do you have your own plane?

I hear that. sounds like a great plan to me. but ha i had a friend that was supposed to fly out to louisville with me but she bailed, so i am flying alone, not my own plane. i wish ha. ::) one day and ill fly all of us to follow mmj
