wow Wow WOW

that was a show.   If I can convince one person to go that was on the fence, please take a chance and see them.

I would love to see a setlist if anyone has it-  I am not familiar enough with the non MMJ/MOF songs... I can say that they played the entire album except Temezcal.

MMJ songs were
At Dawn
I will be there when you die
Wonderful (The Way I feel)
Bermuda Highway
Look at You
Smokin From Shootin

Highlights for me were Look at You, which came pretty early on and was the first real notice that JJ's game is a notch above everyone elses (as good as they are).   Smokin From Shootin brought down the house and was a real goosebump moment (and got the crowd on their feet).

Place was not sold out.

I'll chime in on MoF Boston.  Last night was exactly what I expected- awesome!.  They stuck to mostly the same setlist, though I don't know some of the CO and MW tunes by name.  No Temazcal.  Brought my mom on her 64th birthday; she loved it!  They were pretty quick getting us to put away cameras, so my 3 shots were rushed and show it.  And what the hell is the deal with CO spitting (three times) on stage?  Aside from his salivary outbursts and the camera nazis, a perfect night.

Here's a link to the photos; best if you squint:

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

My two cents for what its worth.  We arrived late thanks to no parking and battle with Tom Tom.   We missed 5 or 6 songs and went to sit only to find others in our seats, woops wrong row.  So, after that rather uncomfortable moment as everyone was sitting we settled in for a great show.  The highlight for me was the anticipation of who was to play what next.  Conor got a lot of focus as did M., but "jimmy" (as the guy next to us kept yelling) stole the show.  M. ward is unbelievable live and was glad my buddy got to experience it.  He is from a different era and it shows, like the 1920's or something.  I think Conor spits when he gets rockin, thats all I could gather.  He did it on tour with Wilco too, he was good as well with lots of appreciation.  At Dawn, Golden, wonderful and Smokin' were super sick.  Mike Mogis is a great sub for Carl on pedal steel.  Jim was as powerful himself as the whole band was at RCMH, well close anyway.  Can't wait to see his solo tour when that comes around.

The secret PBR stash (just had to ask) was a bonus as they ran out quickly.  Yes, the camera nazis and dance nazis were out in force, although I kinda liked sitting for these guys even if the seats were tiny.  Wanted to burn one, but my buddy says "I dare ya".  Thankfully we prepartied hard and it payed off.  The bathrooms at the Orph were very aromatic, they have this new Vermont Yankee Candle scent called Clean Cannabis.

Penny Lane

this was in a Boston review...how cool!

M. ward is unbelievable live and there is just something about him that is hard to put into words.  He is almost too good for this era, when you see him perform you feel like you should be in a jazz club in the 1920's or 1930's.  The highlight of the show was when he came out by himself and just put on an acoustic guitar clinic.
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Nice!  They're switching things up quite a bit now that the tour's gotten going.  At The Bottom of Everything brings a different element to the encore, but equally as powerful!
