So I went to last night's show at Stubbs...

Tell you this...  i like conor and i really like m ward, but there is nothing like hearing jim and his music.

the show was really great but when they played jacket songs - a warm rush of familiarity and euphoria moved through me body and mind.

at dawn... they ride again
there's a pool and a pond... pond's good for you...

yeah i was really diggin the version of be there when you die:') Conor did a damn good job with yim. Did anyone pay attention to his words when he sang 'soul singer in a session band'?
The time is near, to come forward with whatever killed your spark.

as i remember it...

the first jacket song was i will be there when you die... and conor sang the opening verse...

then jim.... cranked up reverb singing

there will be bigotry and there will be open minds
there will be days of peace; you'll never have the time

and it was ahhhhhh...

just pure
there's a pool and a pond... pond's good for you...

Honestly, I was a little scared with some of the reviews saying that the show was too long, too mellow. It couldn't have been farther from the truth. Those 3 hours slipped away with a blink of an eye.
The show was amazing.

When they played Monsters of Folk songs I felt like I wanted to hold hands with everyone and sway, Who-ville style.

I loved how you could hear the waves of excitement from the hardcore Conor, M.Ward, and MMJ/Yim Yames fans each time one of their songs was played.

Everything about the show was beautiful and Yim was on fire.

I feel lucky to have seen it all go down.
