Hey. I'm new to the board. I've been reading it for awhile... finally decided to join. Just wanted to hear from the atlanta folks! What did you guys think? Setlist? Recordings?

And what about letting us in for sound check?? That was so awesome. Hope you guys had as much fun as I did.

Notes:
I was impressed with the crowd...and even Jim noted that it was pretty cool that the crowd was quiet during the slower moments and rocking when it needed to be.

Not sure what Conor's deal was...wasted maybe?...or just completely lost in the moment. But he climbed up on Will's drums during Traveling Song and took quite the spill...glad he was alright. Good energy though...but it was a lil awkward. Also mightve been the reason there were only 3 songs in the encore...and Whole Lotta Losin was not in its usual spot.

I havent seen the Richmond setlist but it seemed that Conor, Matt and Will all added a new jam to the repertoire.

Good to see Will get a song in. Im not too familiar with his catalogue...even tried to find some Centromatic or his solo projects at Criminal Records earlier in the day to no avail. Anyhow...I managed to write down a couple of the lines from the song...."Tell a thousand tales"...and "nothing raised a sound". Great Harmonies w/ Jim...and I definitely want to do some digging. If anyone knows shout it out. *edit* the will johnson tune was..."Just To Know What Youve Been Dreaming" thanks itunes...

Great show! Good Crowd!

Yeah not sure what Conor's deal was.  Did you see when he poured a cup of water(?) on the snare drum as they played the 2nd song of the encore?...right before he fell off.  Great show overall.  I would have liked a few more Ward songs.  Jim was on fire busting out signature spins and groove shuffles.

A truly great show- I was fortunate enough to catch both shows in NYC and their Louisville show- I wouldn't say that Atlanta surpassed any of those (because they played more M. Ward  and I Will Be There When You Die at the NYC shows and the KISS encore in Louisville is going to be hard to beat, well, ever.) But I definitely liked the crowd in ATL best. I think because ATL was their third night in a row without a break at the end of their tour they all seemed a little tired. I will say that I took a friend to the show with me who was not familiar with MMJ and she walked out that night completely in love with Jim's voice and a Jacket fan for life now. I think I looked over at one point and she had even teared up a little. Just goes to show you how truly amazing Jim's voice is!

Anyone taping at this show? Didn't see anyone, but was hoping.... if so please pass along :)
