Being the narcotic consumer/traveler I am I did research. The most name dropped and highly recommended Cancun drinks are

Mojito, banana Monkey, Miami Vice, Mango Tango, and the Rainbow shot.

Also, I'm traveling alone to this. I'm planning to tip the waitstaff very well at the shows and it would b a shame to tip for just myself. I'm going on all the excursions so will only be drinking at the Jacket shows. I plan on $5 tip first round the. $1 each round after. I'd love to get a table for like four or five and sample all the drinks above. I also speak Spanish fluently. My other band likes are Drive By Truckers, CCR, Bottle Rockets, Cramps, outlaws, Camper Van...

Great minds think alike. Although I'm not traveling solo and limiting my excursions, I'm a heavy consumer and will gladly partake in sampling the local drink favorites. Mojitos are a def must. The Miami Vices are very popular. I think they're a mix of half pina coloada and half margarita. Always curious about fun shots although I still like a good 'ol shot of tequilla.

Yea now I'm starting to think of only tequila sampling. I understand there's a world famous almond one there. I don't want to drink alone.

I don't think drinking alone will be an issue. Now if they want to cover George Thoroughgood's I Drink Alone, I would get a good laugh and big smile. May be more appropriate to play One Bourbon, One Scotch & One Beer.
