2010 Opener/Closer

I would actually like a Run Thru opener and a I'm Amazed closer with an extended jam..

Than maybe Strangulation in the encore 1 spot, and OBH in encore 2.  That would work for me

Anytime actually makes a great closer.   Although I like jrud's idea the best so far.  Dancefloors!  Hell yeah!  Talk about sending you home wanting to keep the party going.

I can see something wild like that in New Orleans. I think Jazz Fest is the tours best chance to see a crazy setlist, being the Jazz Bands home turf.

What a yummy mouthwatering tease for the upcoming shows,Nashville in particular. 8-)
My guess is they'll hit the stage with "Aluminum Park" and exit via the "Bermuda Highway".
"Aluminum Park" kicked ass in Louisville at Waterfront Park a couple of fantastic Summers back.

I'd like to see Phone Went West or War Begun as the closer.  Takes me back to the old days.  I think they might switch out Evil Urges from the opener and use it to open the encore, instead of Wordless as the encore opener.  At Dawn or The Dark, or even Mahgeeta would be awesome to open with, but I think it'll be more along the lines of Wordless or OBH.  I have a feeling the closer is going to be the same every night with the PHJB sitting in on it...so maybe Dancefloors?

Or, in a total pipe dream, how about "Don't Do It" with the PHJB sitting on as the opener ala The Band's Rock of Ages.

One Big Holiday / Losin' Yo Head

I'm not sure if they'd close with a Monsters of Folk tune, but I definitely expect one or two to crop up, along with Wonderful (The Way I Feel).  What other MoF tunes would you expect in April and beyond?  I'm thinking (possibly) Master's Voice, Right Place, LYH, maybe Magic Marker.  

BTW, love the idea of opening with Rock and Roll.  I think opening on a cover would be sweet.  A new one each night!  Hopefully, the boys in the band checked out our thread on MMJ covers for inspiration.  

The first time I heard Losin Yo Head I thought "This should be a Jacket song". With all due respect to the other Monsters, I think Carl and Patrick would tear that song a new a**hole.
