Quotereally? Where did you read or find out about this?

I went to Ticketmaster.com, put in for 2 tickets, GA floor, best available and got nothing.  I tried just 2 "best available" and got GA upper/no floor access.  Anywhere will be great, though.

Does anyone have a better sense of the auditorium setup?  I found great seating charts for the Alabama Theatre and Chastain Park Amphitheater, but the only seating charts for N'ville Municipal Auditorium are "eh".

I found tickets on this site: http://www.ticketseating.com/buy-my-morning-jacket-tickets-april-21-2010-1930-1297101/

I'm wondering the difference between GA-Floor ($60), Main Floor GA ($69), and General Admission ($74).  My ticket says GA-FLR, Row G1, Seat 283.  Isn't this still general admission on the floor?  I am confused.  :-?

Hope someone can explain this cuz mine say the same thing.
Y'all got any disco ball back there?

Municipal Auditorium is a relatively small place.  I believe it's where the hockey team plays.  As far as I can remember, the floor is GA standing and the upper is stadium-type (GA) seating all around (except behind the stage, which is at one end of the oval-if you will).  When I've been there before GA was GA...up or down.  But apparently, they will have a "gate keeper" to keep uppers from going to the lower.  I hope that's not the case, but it appears that way.   :-/

I'm wondering if the row and seat numbers are just a way to keep track of individual tickets, to avoid fake tickets, and to keep track of the numbers to keep it within capacity.  If all the tickets said "general admission" with no other identifiers, I could see someone trying to make copies.  Nowadays, with barcodes and such, its less likely an issue, but that just means the row and seat numbers on general admission tickets  are a holdover from a bygone era.  Just my theory.  Would love to know the "real" reason, particularly if I'm right.

I'd say you're right JohnnYYac.I'm pretty sure I've had GA tix like that before but I'm old and my memory is a tad wishy washy. :D

I don't know the city well enough to make the call, but we should definitely meet up preshow!  New thread, maybe?

I scanned all of this thread and came up with this idea.  Pre show at Flying Saucer (by 4 or 5pm) and post show at Beer Sellar.  Just a thought.  Tell me if I'm being too pushy, I just like having a plan within which to fuck around.  I did the same thing on the B'ham preshow thread.

Vote for this idea or propose another.  For reference, you can reach me that day on my cell 603-568-6123.

I am meeting non-forum friends from Huntsville before the show.  I will be at the Flying Saucer some time around 3:00 PM and will likely end up at Beer Sellar afterwards(If I can still walk).

Crispy

I don't know the city at all, but the Flying Saucer seems to be the consensus, sounds good, and is less than a mile from the venue. Google maps says there are a few places closer, but I have no idea if they'd be good for us or not. I wish some Nashville peeps could speak up, and a new thread for this is probably called for.

I am not from Nashville, but I have been to these joints enough to vouch for them.
