The Great Owl

I just wondered why this band that is made up of such good Humanitarians and likewise very warm-hearted fans have not publically contributed or responded to the desperate needs of folks living near or right on the Gulf region (although everyone, no matter where you live, will be affected by this catastrophe). I know Yim will be promoting awareness for mountain-top removal this summer, but man, couldn't he or the band somehow raise fundage for the livelihood of the Southeast (since that is where their tour with PHJB mainly played at?) somehow in between gigs?

Sure, Jimmy Bufffet and other bands are going to perform on Gulf Shores, Alabama,  on July 1 ( which I guess will be somewhat like the Hangout Festival which was amazingl!), but I wonder why MMJ hasn't responded to this as immediately as they did to the Nashville floods via Twitter and such.

Couldn't the band  auction off something or at least play a show in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana or Florida to show their Love? Maybe I'm just expecting too much, with schedules and all, but come on....this is a crucial time for everyone who lives or at least visits these beautiful and culturally integral part of the States. If they did perform for various charities, it would make me as happy as a beak-full of moths!
