I'm in Portland, but I wasn't able to make it to Sasquatch because of money issues, plus I would like to see just MMJ without having to go to a festival and pay festival prices, and the other closest show to me is in SF for Outside Lands.  Why so little west coast love?

It might have something to do with the fact that the Greek Theater show in L.A. isn't sold out.  I know the Greek ain't that big a venue.

I'm fucking pissed right off. I'm glad this thread is here because I didn't feel like shitting all over everybody's parade in the 5,5,5 thread. Seriously, the east gets a bunch of amazing shows with the PHJB, they get 3 more shows with Tom Petty (I saw TP and MMJ in the same day and it was fucking amazing), and another few in random spots. Now add on these 5 epic nights in NYC and it is fuckin frustrating. Out west we had Sasquatch and will have 2 more festivals and 2 shows with Avi Buffalo. WHAT GIVES MMJ?????????????? I can't think of why that show series isn't being replicated out west in Portland or something. While i'm bitching, HOW ABOUT A GOD DAMN SHOW IN CANADA???? FUCK.

You know when you're not mad at someone but 'just disappointed'?? Well I'm living that to its fullest extent right now. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/

I'll also cry in this post.

Whilst I'm sitting here in Australia; I'm really thinking of emptying my savings to enjoy the states, and 5 fab nights of MMJ. It would probably mean that I don't eat, sleep in the gutter, and swim home.

But I'd almost do it; I'm about ready for an adventure.

Do it man!! If I wasn't going to have 40 hours of class a week at that time I would totally go. I mean, coming all the way from Australia, NYC seem like a pretty sweet place to see for your first time in N.A.

The LA Greek is 6K+ capacity, I think that's pretty big. I think the no west coast love has a lot to do with them playing Sasquatch and Outsidelands, and the contracts that come along with the festies. Part of the contract is that they cannot play within a so many hundred mile radius for some number of months...that limits things quite a bit. I love the idea of a west coast 5 night album run as well...bring it to SF!!

Seriously.  5 nights at Berbati's Pan would work for me!  (Tho I did go to Sasi and I am also going to the Greek in LA and Outside Lands.....it's like crack with these boys!)
My jacket's gonna be cut slim and checked

Even though they are playing in SF and LA, I do feel like we west coasters are deprived from love from "THE DUDES". I teared a little after the announcement of the five shows in NY. Are we just spoiled or what??

DaFunkyPrecedent

I live on the west coast...and sometimes you get a great set of shows (late summer 2008! LA -> Seattle!! Greek in Berkeley!!!!) and sometimes you don't. So quit your bitching and buy your 5 day pass.  I'm a measly raft guide so I know if I can do it, anybody can swing it money wise!
God damn those shaky knees.

Dang it, I have'nt really even considered that aption. Im sur the tickets are now completly sold out. I will have to conform to just seeing them at the LA show.
