They're kind of old school looking concert tix.  Yellow with MY MORNING  JACKET in 1/4 - 3/8 inch bold black letters. Nice hologram on one end of ticket and perforated/tear away stub on other end.

Not in the class of the Dead mail-orders from back in the day, but still pretty damn nice....especially compared to the generic TM/LN tix we're used to seeing.

My 1st reaction was " Now that's a concert ticket'!

Glad you like them too.

I'm just so used to seeing those blah Ticketmaster ones, that when I opened the envelope I was pleasantly surprised.

I usually get a little rush when any concert tix arrive, but these tix gave me an even bigger one! Thought I had to post about how cool I thought they were.

I'm thinking of starting a new thread on cool ticket stubs, either cool looking tickets or tickets to cool shows, sometimes both.  First, I'll need to go digging.

I think the best I've ever seen were the mail-order Dead tix I mentioned earlier.

Each show was a different design( dancing bears, skeletons, roses etc) and size with raised lettering, holograms, sparkles and other real cool looking stuff.

It was always a blast when they came in the mail. We'd sit around hitting up a bong, checking them out and going back and forth about which one was the best. 8-)

The next best for me were the tix to Madison Square Garden before the renovation. Back then each level of seats were a different color. Red being the 1st level off the floor, then orange, yellow, green, and the balcony were blue. Your tix were printed on stock that matched your seats.

It was always "I got reds!" or "f*cking blues, damnit"!

I'll always remember opening the envelope and being a bit bummed at getting greens for Zep...but a low row and close to the stage so I got over that real quick.  Especially when I found out almost all my friends got shut out!

i think most of mine are the boring ticketmaster ones.  i didn't really get into the dead til after my freshman year of college & as a result of that only got to see 'em once just before jerry passed on  :(

i've got a photo album with my ticket stubs (whatever ones made it out alive) so i'll have a look see.  but i'm pretty sure i won't find too many non-generic ones.  it'll be fun to look back on all my shows tho.

love the idea for your thread johnnYY & will post there if i have any cool ones.

so i'm still curious about this venue. tried finding some reviews of the recent primus show there to see what people were saying. i couldnt find much. there's this:

"It was the first time I'd been to the new concert configuration presented by Higher Ground, with a stage on the midway rather than putting folks in the more staid grandstand. It's a great set-up, with the fried-dough cart and Al's French Frys open for business, a beer-and-wine garden off to the side and the restrooms (instead of portable toilettes as in Higher Ground's shows at the Shelburne Museum) already in place for fairgoers and such. It felt much more like a festival than a laid-back lawn show a la Shelburne Museum, so I dug it." -Brent Hallenbeck

also, on the primus forum, some dude said that the vt pit sucked. not sure if he meant fan energy or the literal pit. probly the fans. BUT i'm sure the mmj fans will bring it, as always.
