I tried to drop the hint!  The festival got rained out but everyone relocated to the Monkey Wrench.  It was great/bizarre to see these guys in such a small venue.  We're all in for a treat on this tour!

FYI, Jim played bass and sang harmonies most of the night.  I'm not sure if the whole tour will be like that or not, but no complaints here either way!

Acoustic guitar and omnichord versions of MMJ tunes.  With nothing else but that angelic vocal and just enough reverb to induce millions of chills.  Lots of great boots out there but this is one of my all time favorites....

Anyone thinking about Charleston WVa? This is the closest stop at 4.5 hours for me. Just a little past the half way mark on the way to my dad's house in Ohio. I just might be able to convince the wife to visit the family and make a brief detour along the way....

Yeah, he seems to get a kick out of it.  Also seems to enjoy making music with his friends, not always having to be the center of attention and whatnot.  But of course, Jim can't help but draw attention.

caught your hint aMD & if i was in that area i'd have been there.  you know things, lots & lots of things.....

it's great that you got to see 'em & especially in a small venue like that!  sounds like it's gonna be a good run of shows & will be cool to see jim take a step back from the front-man role.  i really enjoyed seeing him take turns with lead vocals & changing up instruments for MoF & he seemed to really enjoy it as well.  and yeah - even when he doesn't try, he certainly does draw you in.
