wow is an understatement. one of the greatest  shows and great day/night doubleheaders ever.

drove down from long island and met so many cool people in the parking lot beforehand.  thanks to the boys from charlottesville for all the music sharing.

the show was fantastic, they were spot on and the setlist was supurb.  actually seeing jim do st. james infirmary with the PHB was as awesome as the mmj stuff.  was 2nd row on right side of stage and thanks to all the cool people around who partied and danced all night.

for a compact show at just over 2 hours, there was no letup in energy and the music really shined.  the boys looked like they had a blast and the venue was terrific.  gotta get a copy of this one.

feeling a very good tired today.
was some shakin' and some record playin'

Wow.  Exactly 17 months since the last time I'd seen the boys so of course I was excited.  Tons of energy, I had no qualms with the crowd I was surrounded by some great people in the pit and made some new friends.  I was really hoping for a Dancefloors and they KILLED it.  Probably best song of the night IMO.  I was originally upset that we were missing about a half hour of the normal show but they did a great job tweaking the setlist and I loved every second of it.  Steam Engine was fantastic.  I'm glowing today, a bit sore from dancing oh so much, but as always, totally worth it.  Now heres hoping for a full blown summer/fall tour to be announced soon.  I can't wait another year and a half!

kydiddle

I think the band really put on an awesome show even with the stupid curfew. They crammed in an excellent setlist and gave it their all.

P.S. I have to apologize again to folks around me in the pit. Many beers combined with my first show in the pit sent me into overdrive. I am sorry if my cheerful dancing and excitement got in the way. Don't worry I will tone it down next time. And let's hope there is a next time very soon!

Haha, yes. I knew I was next to some board members. There I am with the long hair.

Can't get over what an amazing show that was. No better way than seeing it directly under Jim James.

And he touched me!!!

Haha, every time he leaned out people would swarm to him like he was Jesus, just looked to touch him.

Sticky Icky Green Stuff

I'm glad you all made it through the onslaught of awesome.  cheers.

kydiddle

That is FiddleCastro's Omnichord he brought to the meetup.

MMJ Tweet of last night's setlist.  Looks good.  Kinda quiet here this morining.  I imagine a lot of fun was had before, during, and after.  Wake up and tell us more.

I believe Highly Suspicious was taken out.  No qualms here.
Fantastic show.  Was nice to very briefly meet Lady, Kydiddle and Kenny76.  Also good to see Sass again.  Also great to meet RockburnPark and see Ms. Y again.  And of course it was great to randomly meet Ghosts who I got to rock out with for the first half of the show.

Great to meet you, too!!

WOW. I believe they played some new material for the new album.
-Carl sang and Jim played acoustic with Carl on lead. Whatever this "Wonderful" song was and the other one was was when time stood still for me.
- Will post more later.

HAHAHAHA. I loved reading through all these posts. So great to see so many of you again after too long of a hiatus. Thankful I got front and center on the rail :) but man, it was so incredibly hot up there!

Such an amazing show and I was beyond thrilled with the setlist. Being from New Orleans, it's so great to see PHJB getting some love from a younger fanbase and y'all probably don't realize how special it was that "Carnival Time" was included last night. Hope you loved it as much as I did.

All in all a great day and a great night. And I know GivenToFly (?) ate that hot dog after I left  :P
God sure baked a lot of fruitcake, baby.

Hard to add anything more to what's already been said...  It was awesome being front row to the right of Jim and rocking out with bluesky in the get funky headband.  It was awesome to hear Wonderful with the whole band and Carl's song "Carried Away" was unbelievably amazing.

PHJB was unreal- I couldn't stop smiling during their whole performance!

I couldn't have asked for a better show from the Jacket- start to finish they brought so much energy.  Jim decided to keep the banter to a minimum and squeeze in as much music as they could.  He didn't see the get funky head bands I threw on stage but I got to touch the cape during Wordless Chorus so it makes up for the other.
Oh I'll never say I knew you, but my heart can't wait to meet you on the other side
