this thread will serve multiple purposes.. kinda hard to figure out what to name it.. heh

as some of you know but most of you do not.. i've been overseas (in the military) for 4 years now and all 4 have been jacket-less for me. when i saw the annoucement for the T5 shows i jumped on that shit REAL quick considering this coincides with my transfer leave i have scheduled for half the month of october and all of november.

now i'm tossing around a few ideas for after the terminal 5 run :

rent a car and take a scenic drive down to louisville for the hometown show, then continue on down to TN to visit my fam... would anyone from the L or who's already planning on going to both shows like to ride along?

or

fly down to NOLA and catch the voodoo fest (kinda expensive and don't want to stay for the whole festival)

i have only just now settled up my transfer paperwork and so i'm kinda late to the party but can anyone recommend a couch/floor i could sleep on in NYC.. this is my first preference since 44 days of vacation will be very harsh on my wallet.. either that or a cheap hotel that doesn't have rodents could work.. any of you old heads on the board who know me, kindly PM me if you have any ideas P.S. i dont snore :P

lastly.. i have an extra 5-day pass up for grabs.. i bought two at the time when they first went on sale thinking i'd maybe find someone to take with me, but everyone has used up all their vacation at the beach this summer.. i'm asking face value + 20 bucks to offset the ticketbastard fee and shipping to you

I say see the hometown show and your family- then hit the NYC shows.  From what I've heard and seen- MMJ brings it to a whole different kind of level when they are in Louisville...plus you get to see your family.  Sounds like a win win
Oh I'll never say I knew you, but my heart can't wait to meet you on the other side

let me clarify.. i'm flying into NYC for the terminal 5 shows and then from there is where i'm venturing out from

thanks for your service.  T5 should be plenty of jacket to satisfy your appetite however if you were to choose an additional show it should be the Louisville show.  You get a headlining show opposed to a festival set.  You get them fresh off of just playing all of their material.  To me it wouldn't even be a question if the louisville show is a full, normal, jacket show.  party on.

I agree with Sticky.  Louisville should be great - that's the one to pick.

Remember to get a ticket for Carl's solo show in NYC too!

Hey darkglow, First I want to thank for your service to the great U.S. of A. Without men and women like you, we would not know the pleasure of having our faces melted by this kick ass band. If you make it  to Louisville and need a place to crash in peace. My brother owns a house here in town, but lives in Nashville. I can say with certainty that he would be honored to open his home for you to stay in while your in town. Let me know.

if you dont want to see the whole voodoo fest, it isnt even a question. other than T5 as a whole, this show could possibly be THE jacket event of their career thus far. anyone who is debating this show would be making a grave mistake not attending. hell if anyone on here is worried about money and wants to go to this show - stay at my house. its a mile away from the venue and its free! the only way i would miss this show is if i could trade it for T5.
