Well, the inevitable is looming...I have to have back surgery. I'm going to try to schedule it for the end of this month so I can recover in time for my best friend's wedding at the end of October. Unfortunately, this rules out the Terminal 5 shows for me. The old me would have been absolutely heartbroken and depressed, but the broken me is ready for this 4+ month hell to come to a positive end!

I will be selling for face + fees, with perhaps a small discount to a die-hard fan. If you or anyone you know is in need, please send me an e-mail at leperilloux at aol dot com as I am not able to check this board too often.

Thanks! I'm counting on all of y'all to ride the rail and give me a full report.  :)
God sure baked a lot of fruitcake, baby.

From someone with major back issues to another, I think you've made the right choice. I went to a show after a hospital stay for my back and spent more time wishing I could just sit than enjoying myself. That's no way to spend an evening.

I Had fractured my spine early this year and had fusion surgery, rods screws etc of 3 vertebrae.   It was really a tough recovery of nearly 5 months of pain.

Went to the Raleigh NC show about a month afterward and had a real hard time.  Made it on the rail for 3/4 of the show but finally had to go sit down in the back.  Good luck, hope you feel better soon!

NoVa_NoLa

Eeesh....sorry to read this Sass.  Wishing you a speedy recovery.  :)

Crispy

Oh no, sorry to hear this, but glad you'll be getting your back troubles all fixed up.

Sassbox - really sucks you won't be making these shows but health comes first. Don't worry......the Jacket will be around for a while and you'll be catching many more amazing shows soon.

With that said, do you happen to still have any tickets for Z? Are you trying to get rid of them all at once or would you be willing to part with one ticket for the Z show?

I'm a huuuuuge MMJ fan. Caught them at Roo a few times, especially the '08 night show which was amazing. I also was at their MSG show for NYE (i'm wearing the shirt as I type this :)). I have a ticket for myself for the ISM, Z, and EU shows. I also have one extra ticket for a friend of mine for the EU shows.....but wouldn't you know it - after giving him CD's to listen to he said he'd really really like to see Z live too.

My friend has never seen MMJ before and in all honesty hasn't been blown away/entranced by the CD's yet. He likes them.....but he doesn't understand yet. He doesn't realize the magic that Jim James brings to the stage. I was surprised that he's willing to spend the money to see these two shows (assuming I can get a ticket for Z) since he doesn't fully understand how badly his head is going to explode after seeing MMJ Live.

so anyway.......let me know if you have a Z ticket for sale. I'd gladly pay face value + fees. Just trying to convert another person into an MMJ fan and don't want to pay over $100 for one ticket on Stubhub or Craigslist or anything.
