So I am trying to see what people want to do as far as a meet-up. It looks like a pre-show gathering might be tough...at least for me; I will be going in to see Grace Potter. May be we can meet near the stage during GP.

In honor of JohnYYac and his mother, I suggest we all wear Groucho glasses. These are pretty cheap and easy to find. I also think it would be a great photo with all of us wearing them. On that note, I think it should be our mission to get MMJ to wear them with us for a grand photo. That would be too funny.

So who's still coming and up for being silly???

If I need to I will bring extra pairs of glasses.

So, I was rockin' out to MMJ at the Petty show last night and a guy came up and joined me.  Said he could see I appreciated MMJ, unlike many around us.  We got to talking, I figured him to be worthy, and gave him my Holyoke ticket.  He asked, "How much?"  I said, "Happy Birthday!"  He freaked, opened his wallet, and showed me his license.  His birthday was two days ago.  He did get me a beer, etc.

Anyway, look for a cool dude named Jeff, sent to Holyoke by johnnYYac, and make sure he leaves with face sufficiently melted, in my absence.

You the man Johnny! This is Jeff, first time on this forum thanks again to Johnny. I will def be rockin' out in your absence.

I literally cannot wait...I have butterflies.

My friend and I should arrive around 5:15 to pick up our tickets and get in when the doors open at 5:30. Hopefully this will get us a spot up front. We are both also SUPER pumped for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals as this will be our 4th time seeing them.

Any guesses on what song MMJ will open with?

This won't happen but I always thought Smokin' From Shootin' would be the perfect opener.

I'm working toward heading over to mountain park for the show.

I also have two kids, but I'm bringing my wife and getting the mother-in-law to baby-sit. Does 2 wheels mean motorcycle or wheelchair or both? Being EasyRider it must be motorcycle. I was coming home from VT (not the MMJ show) on Sunday and saw a biker riding in the rain with only 1 glove...his other hand looked pretty cold.

I am hoping the rain will be done by show time...but I am ready for anything.

If recent history is a guide, it's Tonite I Want To Celebrate or Rollin' Back (tease).    If I get a vote, it'd be At Dawn or The Bear.

Just checked NOAA and it looks like we'll duck the rain.
Chances of rain are highest before around 2pm. Less later.

Yeah I'll be riding my motorcycle.
I ride often in the rain. But it's something
to think about. It's about an hour and a half from where I work to Mountain
Park and then about two and a half hours to home afterwords.
Doing that in a downpour at night on unfamiliar roads is something to
think about.

My Kids are 7 and 2 so bringing them is pretty much out. In fact according to the venue's website no kids under 6 are allowed.

F-ing broken foot, I am out for this show  :'(.  I need to be sensible and recover.  Just means Portland will have to happen right before NYC.  At least I have Essex to remember, what a show!  Have fun peeps and be safe, don't rock out too hard or you'll break your foot!  Believe me!!!  So no AXG and friends on the roll call.
