Hey everyone!

My name's Brendan--you may remember me as the skinny white kid from San Francisco at the T5 shows with his mom, Adrienne (she's still a hip, young mom!). I don't post much on here--I tend to lurk more than anything--but I felt the need after meeting so many wonderful people from the forum here while in New York.

Since we're two days (three after I finished typing this all) removed from MMJ in NYC, I can finally sit down to type out my personal praise/thanks post for all of the amazing people that we met over the course of the three shows we were able to attend (ISM, Z and EU).

So here it goes (DISCLAIMER-I'm not the best with names, but I did my best to try and cover those I wasn't sure about by stating some memorable moment with them. Please also forgive me for the inevitable misspellings of names. Also, I placed screen names where I knew them.) :

- Yvonne. You were one of the first people that we met in the line outside T5, and you were quickly the first to introduce us to everyone and offer friendly conversation. And then you did the unthinkable...you gave us FREE HOMEMADE STICKERS to commemorate the T5 shows. Your bubbly personality was wonderful the whole three nights that we saw you, and your line-monitoring/line-mom skills (top-notch!) will not be forgotten anytime soon :)

-Chris (Crispy). Similar to Yvonne, you were one of the first people we met. Funny and friendly, we applaud you for great conversation and great MMJ fandom.

-Jason (and your friend). You offered us some funny life stories while waiting in line on the roof and helped us bumrush downstairs to get a good spot on the Z night. You struck me immediately as one of those naturally funny dudes, and you lived up to it. Cheers to that.

-Sarah and Karsen. There are people that you meet briefly in life and make connections with that you feel might last a longtime down the road. You two seem to fit that mold. You were insanely kind and entertaining to talk to, and we plan to keep in-touch through FB. If you ever do make it out here to California for Coachella, you're more than welcome to stay with us at whatever condo we rent.

-Calvin. We gave you a kit-kat and you gave me the updates on the Giants-Phillies series-- as well as the friendship of simply being a fellow Giants fan. I applaud you for also making a long journey to get to the T5 shows. Miami is a helluva a lot closer to NYC than San Francisco, but you still had a big journey.

-Lee. I'm always amazed when I meet someone else young (like myself) that holds themselves with great maturity and has a very personable demeanor. You fit the bill for this. Your granola story made us laugh, and your rail-spot keeping skillz helped us on the Evil Urges night. I also want to sincerely thank you for letting me claim the paper-plane setlist for EU. Cheers to you for that.

-Eric. The wait for MMJ after the opener on the Z night was long, but talking to you made it seem quite the opposite. Your NJ stories and wise life experiences were very humorous and memorable. I also appreciated your years of concert experiences (it seemed like you had seen nearly every band in existence...)

-The guy who got the sandwich that was thrown to him in the line outside T5. Didn't catch your name, but you had some memorable quotes.

-Adam. One of the most immediately likable people that we met while in NYC, you gave us some fantastic recommendations for places to visit (Katz's Deli in the Lower East Side was amazingly good!) and offered us a jacket since we were a little cold on the EU night. Thanks for all of your hospitality while in line.

-Jeff (Headhunter). Similar to most everyone previously mentioned, you were insanely kind and gracious and most importantly, immediately friendly to us. You offered to help me get a poster at one point and though I didn't follow you up on that offer, I appreciated it.

-The girl with wine/chinese food in line--you also wore arm warmers at one point. I didn't catch your name, but you were very kind in helping us keep our place in line after the mad dash upstairs to the roof. Also, you always seemed to be smiling, and that's always a good thing to see.

As a whole, I really wanted to just thank everyone that we met/encountered during the T5 shows. If I didn't mention you, don't feel left out! We really appreciated the community feel that everyone in line was able to offer. Aside from MMJ, it was the best part of the T5 shows. It's not often that you can meet a group of complete strangers and instantly be welcomed by all. As Jim said, it's amazing when everyone can be on completely different paths in life, but still come together peacefully for things.

I should also mention that everyone's extreme devotion to MMJ was very inspiring. I'll never forget glancing to my right while leaning on the rail during Dondante and seeing Chris looking completely dumbfounded and amazed, Jason with his mouth agape mesmerized, and Yvonne rocking out on the rail. It was the perfect example of complete and utter-love for a great band and great music.

So cheers to all of you. Hopefully we will meet again someday. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

-Brendan and Adrienne

Haldon

It was great to meet you and your mom as well.  You are quite a lucky guy to have a mom that will travel across the country with you to listen to some rockin' music.
Glad you got back to San Fran safely. Go Giants!

Brendan.  Ditto what Haldon said.  Gotta be a special mom to take you to a show like that and you gotta be a special guy to appreciate it all.

Was great to meet you and share the special times.  See ya at a show down the road and hopefully you stay posted on the forum.

I was right behind the guy that caught that sandwich.  Great score.  Dude was thrilled to say the least.
