Tracy 3000

I just want to pass on to all the forum peeps in NYC that I am so happy you guys are getting this experience! I am totally digging all the positive posts and pics and videos and stories. I have been seeing the boys live since 2003, made many a friend on the rail and I am bummed that I can't be there, but happy that a lot of you can. Keep on rockin' in the free world and keep those stories, pics and videos coming!  :)

Love,

Jim brings all his love, passion, energy and mystery to the stage and says, "I'm right here."

In all honesty, I'm not sure who looks happier during the shows - the band or the fans.
I'm surrounded by assholes

Reminds me of what Jim James was saying in the video for I Will Be There When You Die (i think this vid) where he says the first album they were like "let's print 100 and see if we can sell them" and now they get to see tons and tons of fans turn out for this epic week. It's pretty awesome for everyone.

Everything you said exactly Tracy! I wish I could be there obviously, but even sitting here I LOVE that Jacket will do this type of thing and people can enjoy it! Plus, we got Louisville to look forward to!
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Great thread Tracy, and I agree completely.  :)

How loud can silence get?

My whole life sense I became a jacket fan has been inconsistant, jumbled and slightly strange.  My feelings and sentiments towards the band has evolved over the years.  This week I have friends, family and lovers all coming to new york for at least one day to share this experience with me.  Finally it all makes sense.  Finally the puzzle is together.  Tracy, I too am truely happy - the mysticism remains yet I feel like I can honestly call the" 'my band" from this day forth.
God damn those shaky knees.

Completely agree!!  Haven't been to one show yet, but feel like I've been there in a way.  Sorry that you can't this group of shows, but I hope that our paths cross at some point Tracey!   :)

this has been a religious experience to say the least. a congregation of great people from all walks of life sharing an experience that is very hard to explain or understand.

Exactly. Its been hard for me to put into words how I've felt between meeting everyone, the shows and last night. I wish everyone in this crazy family could be here.
Because we're all in this together...

Truly amazing indeed.

And I'm truly happy for all those that get to attend the hometown show.  I just couldn't pull it off but damn it, it should be nuts! [smiley=beer.gif]

I'm Tracy too and I'm beyond happy!! The first time I heard "Run Thru" live at the Louisville Gardens back in '05 I lost my shit! The jam, the strobe lights, Patrick! I had heard the albums countless times but didn't know THIS kinda music existed in my generation!!! That feeling never grows old. This will be my friends first show so its hard to rationalize my enthusiasm now but hopefully they will walk away awestruck!
