Let me just start by saying how fortunate I think I am to have been able to see all five nights of shows. It was really hard for me to grasp how special of an event these five shows were going to be, WOW. Seriously how good was the Tennesse Fire. I have loved Z, ISM and Evil Urges as well as the many amazing songs on  At Dawn; TWTHS, PWW, Bermuda, Honest Man. I was completly blown away by the Ten F. I knew the Bear and War Begun would be awesome but holy shit how ridiculous was War Begun. Heartbreakin Man, Picture of You, The Dark, Old Sept B and It's About Twilight Now were great! Then Rocket Man and Tyrone. WOW is all I can say. I will say this week was magical if I had on little gripe it would be that there was no new songs. I've seen Circuital, Carried Away, Friends Again and Carried away live before. I was really hoping for some new new stuff since all of those four are really fucking awesome. Based on what I've heard so far the new cd may be the best to come and that's saying a lot. I really would be fine with trading the date of Christmas this year with the new cds release date. Seriously, how fucking awesome would that be? ;)

Ps I'm sorry if I blocked anyones view I'm 6'3" but in all fairness many of the people there were over 6ft. I think MMJ may have the tallest audience of any band.

I was thinking about starting a thread about this point but didn't want to be Mr Negative when there was 99.9% greatness about the week.   But, since you mentioned it, I too was hoping there'd be the debut of at least one song at EU night.

I thought I read on here that they were going to play 5 or 6 songs off the new album.   Maybe that was just speculation by a forumite but I thought it was from an interview or other official source.    Now I realize they are "new" songs to many in attendance but not to the hardcore, and surely the band knows the hardcore was out in force.

Is there any chance Carried Away is on the new album in a full-band version as well as Carl's new album?

Is there any chance Tonite I Want 2 Celebrate is re-recorded as an official release on the new album?

Both of those seem like longshots.   If so which means they played 3 songs off the new album, right?

You ain't the only one with a negative gripe. I felt cheesed that they played OBH as the final closer. Also cheesed that Jim didn't peel off any of his many layers of clothing... That being said, it was by far the best musical week of my life.

They HAD to play OBH as the final closer. It was perfect.

It was not only the perfect choice, it was the most amazing OBH EVER. "That was the One Big Holiday from hell!"
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"
