I was listening to Okonokos on the car ride home from work today; and I wish I could go back in time and experience that week once more.  Every time I listen to them, it just wonder how a band could be as good as they are, and each time I see them, I wonder how they keep bringing it every time I see them.  They seriously are the best band in the world right now, and they have the best fans in the world... It was awesome seeing Penny, Tdb, Bob, ynwa, lil sis, brooke, bluesky, soulshine, kydiddle, alady, headhunter, dodobird, and deathstick again, and meeting Steam Engine, Ruckus, ChiefOKONO, Capt. Headdy, woodnymph, Danz, Crispy, Ralph/Dave and whoever I forgot, it was just a wonderful week, full of great music, and great people.
I NEEDED IT MOST WHENEVER tbh

Same here.

Whenever a bit of the post tour blues sets in,I just think of one of the endless great moments I had with everyone this past year, especially T5, and I find myself with this big ol' smile on my face.  :)  I know those memories will be with me forever, and carry me till we can all do it again. 8-)

That said....c'mon Summer Tour!!!  ;)

Yes, i requested that it be removed.....after i posted it, i had second thoughts....i was in a weird post t5/monday morning/coming down with a cold funk, and i didn't want to start unsubstantiated panic :)

I, too, am usually a glass half-full kinda gal, and will be back to my effervescent, hopeful self soon!

I'm just a little sad (stupid I know, after what we just witnessed) that it could be years until I get a chance to revel again in the joy that is MMJ live, its addictive as you all know and I want more, more, more!  You'd guess that Europe would be the logical international tour destination next time around and I'd say we're not high up on the list as they were here not too long ago.

But a major 2011 Australian Easter Blues & Roots festival line up is being announced tomorrow and I'm dreaming that MMJ are announced. Now that would probably cause panties to be rocked off without a single note being played...
At my house, we call them uh-ohs.

ms. yvon

will get our mojo working for an announcement for you dave!

just remebered this from night one:  during Dugnen's set.  they'd just finished a song.  from behind me i hear chiefcrow, "Sick!" turn to see him with a huge smile on his face.
;D

no mmj (yet, still a few more announcements to come in the next few weeks), oh well...  Some new kid on the block named Bob Dylan is headlining...

Reply #134 - Oct 30th, 2010, 1:30am   Just ran into Simon the German at a party in my hood

Simon was all over the place with his signed Berlin flag.  Next to Patrick's signature he stated "please do not use this as toilet paper"  that was pretty funny.  One thing that Simon said to me that really stuck with me was that "some people have religion, and I have My Morning Jacket!"  Overall had a great time listening & rocking to all the songs they played, but that was only topped by the energy and connections made there with the fans!

our balcony buddies Wiz & AJ - two of the nicest people we've ever met!
Back atcha' DB!  I count hanging with you and Jen as a major highlight of the whole experience!  4 out of 5 nights with Dragonboy  :D
If you ever find yourself in Oregon, you know you have a place to stay!  And PM me your address in London, we have some CD's to send you!
Wiz & AJ, I could be wrong but I believe I squeezed into your table on the rail upstairs at the It Still Moves show in NY. Had a great time meeting Andrew, Jen & the 2 of you. Thanks for sharing the space & enlightening me with the encores 8-).
