Not to discredit the seller, but for anyone on the forum considering buying any of these gig posters, I would contact this person about his/her claim that they are not "numbered". The one I bought in Birmingham has a tiny 14/100 penciled onto the bottom left-hand corner if you're looking at the poster head-on.
I dunno if the seller just didn't notice the serial number or what, but it may be worth asking him/her about it.

I'm not seeing any numbering in the pictures, but the prints themselves do look pretty legit, even the "folded" crease lines visible in the color

yea i saw that too...who knows, maybe not all of them were actually numbered. I guess it's a chance that might be worth taking for 35 bucks!

I usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but these posters would also be extremely easy to reproduce. There isn't any gloss on them at all, and the print isn't too complicated either.

true- if you have any experience I guess it would be pretty easy to re create.  but there are little details that could easily get over looked

I'll tell you that I bought 2 of these, Birmingham and Nashville, when they were $25 ea. ($6.95 shipping).  At the time, the guy only posted one of each show (no Atlanta, though) for that price and they went quick.  Now, he's listing another batch at $35 ea.  I wondered if these were originals or copies with no way to know for sure until they arrive.  I will let you know once they're delivered.  I noticed what looked like crease lines but wasn't sure if that was an original aspect of the printing, didn't know if they were numbered (the eBay post says they're not).

I'm not a huge fan of these posters, identical except for color, date, and venue info, but decided to suck it up for the three shows I attended (again, no Atlanta yet  :-/).  I also picked up the Nashville poster mentioned earlier (see below).

Has anyone found a picture of a Merriweather Poster?  Or did I miss that somewhere?  I use them for my itunes artwork.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

This is the best I could find:

johnnY...if it eases your mind a little, I bought the poster at the Raleigh show that is similar to the ones you posted from the ebay. the crease is actually part of the printing. i am guessing these are litho prints and not screenprints...but the marks kind of give it a screen print feel. hope that helps.

I kinda wondered, but assumed it was part of the printing as the crease appears similar in all of the various versions of the poster.  Thanks.

My Merriweather is a numbered print, FWIW ?!

Strange that there is no info about the artist / print shop anywhere on these.

QuoteFound another "original" for the Koka booth show.   I believe it was designed by Sergio Moctezuma.  Other than that I don't have any info but just thought I would share...

after a few emails back and forth it sounds like he will have these ready to roll in the next couple. he was cool with folks paypalling him. $35+$10 on the shipping. SergioM@rocketmail.com

Just got mine in.  Its hand numbered out of 225 and it rocks.  I paid for it on Thursday and it got here today so a very quick turnaround.  Plus, it ended up being cheaper than one of the "generics" I got on ebay.

The first two of the four I got handed at MPP didn't have numbers. I had the vendor make sure they were numbered (all in the 90's) and went to good homes right after the show!

Sergio Moctezuma, the artist of this poster still has some of these available.  He asked me to put the word out.  They are silk-screened prints hand numbered out of 225.  He is extremely helpful and easy to deal with and is completely legit.  I paid for mine on Thursday and it arrived today (Saturday), so he ships very fast as well.  Plus, did I mention it totally kicks ass.  Just e-mail him at:   SergioM@rocketmail.com.  You can pay through his e-mail with Pay-Pal and the price is $35 plus $10 shipping.  I'm not sure how many he has left so if you want one, I would act fast.

Ditto re: the Sergio poster.   Ordered Thurs, received Sat.   Great poster.   Heads up that it's an unusual size - 18 x 36.

QuoteThe standard design poster for Cary, NC is up on eBay for $30 plus $9 shipping.

I saw that one at the show.  Kinda ugly so I held off.

Does anyone have knowledge of a poster for the MMJ show in Atlanta on April 23, '10?  I've seen most of the April/May shows in that standard design and picked up the Birmingham and Nashville versions, along with the Mike Davis Nashville poster. I also finally got my first show, Boston '08.  But no sign of anything from Atlanta 4/23/10.  Any ideas?  Any extras?
