Chicago Marathon this Sunday

Yeah, this is totally off topic.

I am running my first marathon this Sunday in Chicago.

I hope to run it in 3 hours 40 minutes.

It will be exciting to be in Chicago during Cubs fever, a garbage strike and the attack of the ladybugs.

Wow, 3 hrs and 40 mins :o!!! Go you! that's how long it takes me to 'run' our cross country course and that's less than a mile long :-[ Anyway, Just thought to wish you good luck and hope you do well!! My family's trying to get me to do the london marathon...never gonna happen 8)!

not quite my goal time but i am quite happy
it was my first marathon

but you have plenty of time before you start training for a marathon

Aaaarrggghhh, my worst nightmare :o, i was MADE to run the cross country course, i'm sure they made it longer than last year!! We all went on strike when she tried to make us go round it a second time >:(!! It worked and we refused to play hockey afterwards as we needed to catch our breath ;D
It kinda worked but it took me 40 mins to run it, i came 3rd from last!! the other two walked most of the way :'(
Anyway, am counting down to the real thing... 6 days to go!!
I'll tell you if i survived!!

I always, go out slowly, i can't go fast cos i'm stuck in the group of about 100 or so people all trying to stay in last place (we actually have to fight to get to stay in last place ;D) But c'est la vie, we get house points just for taking part! :P
but yeah, am hoping for somewhere in between (for me that's wishful thinking!!)
