Anybody in the DFW area?

I'm new to my morning jacket, but from what I can tell they attract all kinds of music lovers. I live in Dallas (have been here about 7 months) and have had no luck in findin people to play music with. Jammed with one 'good charlette' wanna be and another 'creed'. I sang and played rythem for a band in college station for two years. We wrote a ton, played classic rock covers, and 90's rock. I enjoy everything from folk/country to funk. Right now I just want to play. Have a strat and an amp but no P.A. (otherwise I'd already tried to start my own deal). Anyway, if there is anybody that would like to get together and just jam, even acoustic mmj covers, let me know via this board. Rock on.
