QuoteWORD OF THE WEEK!:
sexcellent!
heh - yeah!  Somebody else had never heard that before, either...  It's kinda like "hang ten" and "don't gimme none of that bull roar" - they're so great, you hope they never go out of style.

I don't know much about African music, and when I told a friend that I was interested in hearing some Fela Kuti, he gave me this compilation:

It's so amazing!  Very funky - highly recommended, and though Fela was the only name I recognized, his track isn't even the best on here.

Almost Forgot, Its time to party Blink 182 will no longer be singing about poopy pants and falling asleep in their yards or running around in their undies.  They broke up!  Now if Lincoln Park could just follow suit the world would be a better place.

"School of the Flower" by Six Organs of Admittance.

It's really pretty and lovely.  My roommate picked it up at Soundscapes because they were playing it.

I just looked them (him?) up at sixorgansofadmittance.com, and they (he) is/are going on tour soon...  With Joanna Newsom in Europe.  How nice!

Here's a weird thing.  I haven't listened to MMJ in awhile, and I haven't been here in awhile (can't hardly wait for the new album to come out).  As soon as I did sign back on this forum and read a couple of posts, I start humming "And I want it...so...bad...it's the first thing, I see when I wake"
Was a the mall the other day, picked up The Clash "London Calling" on vinyl, been listening to that pretty steady.
it's a voice. and it's a choice
to call you out. or stay at home
