I heard of the radio today that RL pasted away today.  He was a great musician and a real family man from what I hear.  Here is a link to his record label's website, they broke the news this morning.  One of the coolest record labels ever, Fat Possum Records:

No way! :'( That's a real shame...
Of all the cool guys on Fat Possum R L was one of my favs. Like you said, Fat Possum is an excellent label & the website is really cool with LOTS of free downloads.
You know what's really strange? I ordered the You See Me Laughin DVD (which features R L Burnside) from Fat Possum at the weekend.
Like I said, a real shame.
