Title: Forum Guidelines...
Post by: Bigsky on Jun 09, 2008, 08:00 PM
After many ugly threads, and the leaving of some senior members (most recently EC), I was wondering if some Forum Guidelines would help keep this wonderful place healthy and strong. Full of MMJ magic.

It should be a list of values that this forum was built on. And I ask the members who have been here the longest to help with this.

Who wants to start?

I am sure there's no way to enforce them, but I appreciate your efforts at harmony.

MMJ Forum Guidelines

1.  The Omnichord is the strange/funk/sent from heavan above instrument JJ plays on several songs. Don't ask, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnichord. In other words...JJ & MMJ kick ass.

2. With starting any topics or responding to any threads the first thing to remember is try to be cool.

3. Check to make sure there isn't a thread or 2 already started about what you are starting.

4. Please play nice and since you're (mostly) all grownups, you should know what nice means.

5. No one knows exactly what Jim says at the end of What a Wonderful Man.

6. Remember that "aggression will not stand," and is considered unwelcomed in this forum.

7. Be sure to use your common sense and remember that almost none of this is real.

8. If someone upsets you, remember they are only as powerful as you make them.

This is just a rough draft...

uhm, how can the omnichord be a guideline? it can do many many things but not sure about that ;)  just kidding, really appreciate you guys trying to keep this forum cool. I don't know if guidelines will help though. just using your common sense should be enough and remember that almost none of this is real.

7. If someone pisses you off, just tell them to fuck off and hope they go away.
