Same artist as the Radio City poster. I like it.
I bought it. Hope to have it signed by the band.
I picked one up. An excellent poster to go along with an epic show.
I liked the RCMH poster as well.
lovely!

e-mail the artist...
I talked to the artist for quite a while at the show. His name is Guy, and he's a wonderful man with true love for the MMJ sound. He was saying they were supposed to do Posters for all musical artists, but MMJ and Jack Johnson were the only two bands who pursued getting specialized bonnaroo posters done (say's something about JJ and MMJ). I asked him a couple questions like "do you listen to MMJ when you draw" - he said sometimes. But for the RCMH poster he also did, he said Evil Urges played a big part in the design. The staff the mic is holding is a symbol for the battle between good and evil and lets you see heavens true light and meaning. I thought that was pretty cool. He also said he has a "soul" poster waiting when Jim decides to make his soul album. I asked what it looked like and he told me I would have to wait. All of his MMJ posters have a different feel to them and he said that is because everytime he listens to MMJ he feels something different. He was a wonderful man and was really excited to hear I was a true fan like him and was very humble in my love for his art. He told me also to say hello to everyone here on the forum. So: "HellO" from Guy!
That night I brought my poster back to my tent, only to come back to the whole thing being soaked by the rain. I thought it was PERFECT. I cant wait to look at my water stained MMJ BONNAROO 08 POSTER for the rest of my life and remember that magical and very wet night with my favorite band.
They were supposed to give you a rolling tube, man... my buddy Alan had beer spilled on his Ryman poster, but got it autographed anyway. The folks that framed it were able to restore the thing, somehow.
i did have a tube...but there was A LOT of rain. It soaked through my shitty tent...ohh well. like i said, i kinda like the rain soaked poster. I mean, it's not too bad.
Man I have to get one of these? Anyone have the artists e-mail addy? Maybe he's heard my recording of said show :)

Hi guys, :D my name is Justin Helton and I am actually the artist that did the Jack Johnson poster for Bonnaroo. Guy is an incredible artist and friend of mine, I think he is all out of the Roo posters but you can always ask, I'm sure he would be glad to help. AS for future MMJ posters I will be doing 3 on this tour, the first being Nashville. So feel free to email or contact me if you have any questions. i have loved MMJ for years and I am honored to continue to be able to do posters for them.
Oh yeah if you want you can check out my stuff at http://www.statusserigraph.com I'll be glad to help in any way.

nice to see you around these parts Justin. Looking forward to checking out your new MMJ posters, I thought that Jack Johnson was a very cool departure from some of your other work.
