ditto that but pre-quels are very interesting hopefully they put some thought into this one.
You may want to save your money for a good movie:

well there's always netflix I guess... :-?
i'll still give it a chance. if it sucks, then i'll just walk into the theatre showing Norbit.

I believe Norbit is getting even worse reviews.
Fuck critics, I'm not got even read that review. I'm just gonna go see it.

most comedies get bad reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, for instance, a personal favorite of mine

I don't agree. I just don't think there's many good comedies produced this decade.
I use rotten tomatoes all the time but the problem with their system is it's either yay or nay with no middle ground. If you actually read some of the reviews that get rotten tomatoes they're not that bad.
I cross reference between rotten tomatoes (critics reviews) & imdb (fans reviews) when checking a movie.
There's no denying that Hannibal Rising is going to be complete & utter shit IMO. Sorry true, complete & utter fucking shit!

You just gotta love Heat. DeNiro, Pacino, a great script
and Michael Mann directing it. That's luxury.
Manhunter has a very 'eighties' sound and look, so that definitely helps invoke nightmares ;)
Have you seen Last Of The Mohicans? That's good.
The Insider? That's another Michael Mann classic.
I want to see Miami Vice but have read nothing but bad reviews...

Apparently, I've seen most of Michael Mann's movies and enjoyed every one of them. Russel Crowe was magnificent in The Insider. So was Daniel Day Lewis in Last Of The Mohicans. As for Miami Vice, I'd certainly recommend it as a cinematic experience. It all looks impressive, the speedboat and plane scenes are just ridiculously cool. The story however, remains a little shallow throughout. Most of the time, it's still a good script that makes a great movie. So, not a classic, but still worth seeing in my opinion. The bigger screen you have the better :)

Hey if you do--let us all know if its crap or not :)

I'm going tuesday, heard from one person it was pretty good. I've liked all the hannibal movies so far, and yeah i've seen manhunter too. So I really just want to see it and judge for myself. Theres so many movies that people don't like that i do like. I don't trust ANYONE's opinion on a movie.
