What's up forum? I haven't been around in a while. I've sorta been in a transition period since I graduated. I am now living in Asheville with my parents, and feel a lot like George Costanza (My name is George. I'm unemployed and I live with my parents.)
So, does anyone have any advice for someone who is fresh out of college with no money and the best way for him to look for a job? I've done the monster.com thing and am constantly looking online for jobs, but all that seems to be offered are manager positions at wendy's and telemarketing jobs.

aim high. find interviews for positions that are much better than you think you can get and just walk into the interview like they're stupid if they don't give you the job. At the very least you'll gain experience interviewing which will certainly help you down the road. Good luck on your journey and welcome back!
What kind of a degree do you have? The local classifieds worked for me. There are also sites out there dedicated to helping find jobs in specific professions, at least in the sciences.

I have a degree in Marketing. I've looked around a few sites, but there's nothing really that cateres to the entry-level grad. Mostly telemarketing stuff.

You need to start to consider looking for work outside of the Asheville region. Fire off as many resumes as you can and follow those up with phone calls. If you have contacts, use them. Do not work as a telemarketer. Try to work for a good company at an entry level and work your way up - which is what I think you want to do anyway.

Really good advice. I think it's important even after you find a job to interview on a regular basis. Keeps you sharp and confident and is great experience for practicing how you present yourself in general. So true also to not sell yourself short, rather to be calm and convincing whether or not you're completely qualified for the job. Use your marketing skills to market yourself. Talk to absolutely everyone about what you are interested in and all of a sudden you may find someone who has the right position for you.

Although I would like to stay in the meth prodution industry, it's just not profitable right now. If you really want to help us out, buy your meth locally. It may be a little more pricey, but at least you'll be helping the little guy 8-)

i highly suggest craigslist.org, too. don't know if you've checked it out, but it got me a wonderful job in nashville for last year

Check out any trade-groups - I'm in graphic design, similar field - similar asses to kiss.
The best places I've found is the AIGA (American Insitute of Graphic Arts) and the AdFed - Advertising Federation, and the Ad Club. Depending on your city of choice, they usually have local chapters - I've found most of my jobs through either there web pages or people I've met at events.
Both websites have job shops, where people post open jobs - AdFed & Ad Club are usually a little more geared towards marketing.
Like the others said - aim high - go on any interviews you can get - any of 'em. The more you're comfortable with the process and all the BS, the better you'll end up.
Always follow-up with people - bug the shit out of them - no matter what - make them know who you are - They might not have a job for you, but they might know someone who does - and you just showed them you are dedicated
