Curb...Larry's ability to piss people off is astounding. I've only seen season 4 and a few other episodes here and there, but that dry humor gets me every time
dude, the original. seinfeld.
I love them both but it's got to be Seinfeld.
Enjoy both but like the fact that curb is on HBO where Larry can say anything he wants ;)
Curb Your Enthusiasm... I have so much Larry David-esque shit happen to me.
CURB. By miles...
only seen a handful of episodes of curb, so i'm going with seinfeld. but maybe my vote shouldn't count?
Quotebut maybe my vote shouldn't count?
why? cos you like Coors light?

NO, my vote shouldn't count because i LOVE coors light.
;D
i never thought anything could touch seinfeld until i saw curb and understood larry david was the true genius behind senifeld, not jerry. curb all the fucking way! (even though seinfeld is probably like my second favourite of all time)
I've probably seen every seinfeld episode 700 times, and have still yet to see the new season of curb, so I'm going to go with curb just for the fact that it's uncharted territory.
The newest episode of Curb was (like most others) incredible.
Richard Lewis: "What are you eating a lot of grains, fruits and nuts? Jesus, you're like a Jew squirrel."
;D
For any Curb fans who haven't seen a new episode, prepare yourselves. Leon might just be a more amazing character than Larry. It's early, but I'm just gonna throw it out there.
Unfortunately for me a lot in my life seems to relate to George Costanza, I'm going with Seinfeld. Curb Your Enthusiasm is a great show though.

But, George was based off Larry... ::)
The last minute of the newest Curb was probably the most cringe-worthy of the entire series. I felt like a bad person for watching it.
Finally a (somewhat subtle, but not really) shot at the whole Michael Richards n-word fiasco. One of the best episodes of Curb yet.
The freak book episode with John McEnroe was a classic.
Leon is my new favorite character. We need more Leon.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Frank Costanza, quite possibly the funniest character ever created IMO.

"But, Frank, I've been making these eggs the same way for 20 years!"
(While looking up at the ceiling) "Well, it sucks!!"
One of my favorite Frank moments ever.

I saw that one a couple of nights ago ;D
'Serenity Now!' & 'Festivus For The Rest-of-Us!' ;D ;D ;D
Both examples of true greatness, I'd say. Such great characters!
Awesome season finale for Curb. Loved the ending and hopefully there'll be another season (or two, or four)...
DB, your boy John Legend made a singing appearance!
I was checking on amazon earlier to see if Season6 is available for pre-order yet. Bit early, I know but I can't wait to see this!
I just got season 9 of seinfeld which now completes my collection. season 9 is WAY underrated by the way. it has the backwards episode, festivus, and the season finale is great despite what people said after it first aired.

Just watched the last one myself tonight. ;D Holy crap, what a great ending. Me and my wife were rolling. There better be another season. I couldn't take no Extras
and no Curb.

Wow, I just watched Curb Your Enthusiasm for the first time ever last night and I loved, loved, loved it!!! I must have said "HOLY SHIT" out loud in sheer amazement like 5 times while I was watching it. ;D
What episode? I want details.
The episode where Lary has a "tickle" in his anus...
He told the nurse he had a gerbal up his ass....for three days!
IT WAS FUCKING INSANE! ;D
Damn, I guess that's in the new season...I wish I still had HBO:(

Larry David to star in Woody Allen's next feature
Writer: Sean Gandert
News, Published online on 08 Feb 2008
Have you ever exited a Woody Allen movie thinking, "Sure, that was neurotic, but was it really neurotic enough?" Apparently Allen has, as the director has cast Larry David as the lead in his next feature film. David is best known as writer/creator of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfield, in the former of which he portrays a comic persona that bears more than a little resemblance to Allen's. David actually worked with Allen previously on Radio Days and Oedipus Wrecks (Allen's third installment of New York Stories), but both roles were extremely minor. One fortunate effect of this casting is that while previously actors have tried to channel the Allen character's neurotic behavior, in this case it may just come naturally.
Cast alongside David is Evan Rachel Wood (Across the Universe). Other than these two pieces of information, details about the film are still sparse, which is normal for Allen. It is known, though, that after his four years spent filming in England and Spain, this next project will reunite the director with his beloved New York City and will be a comedy. The picture is set to begin shooting in April.
While all of this info has been released about Allen's feature for next year, a great deal of information has also leaked about his current project, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem, according to The New York Post, the film contains a "steamy lesbian sex scene" between its leading ladies. The film's stars are also said to later have a threesome in the movie, which, despite his many films based around love triangles, would also be a first for Allen. While it sounds a little bit like a fanboy's wishful thinking, this does correspond perfectly with what Bardem told MTV about the film.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona will be released sometime later this year, with a high likelihood of premiering at Cannes in a few months.
how is this even a topic?? curb is funny but c'mon....seinfeld is genius and one of the best of all time. that's like comparing.....dr. pepper to dr. thunder

Or maybe comparing cheerwine to dr. pepper. ;D
Three seperate "men" respond to this thread and not a single mention of the Scarlett/Penelope sex scene?
*shaking head in disgust*
;);D

Yeah, that part sure jumped out at me... :o my attention was raised :o ...maybe it was the red highlighting. And how lucky is that guy in the scene with them? It'll be interesting to see how it's done, I didn't think Scarlett would do a nude scene unless it was essential to the story. She's classy like that. Or at least I'd like to think so
I posted about it in the movie thread and got no response so I returned the favor ;)
But I'm obviously looking forward to it as I am a big fan of Woody Allen, scarlettt johanson, and lesbian sex. :D

I whole-heartedly endorse this statement.
A lesbian sex scene with Scarlett and Penelope would be boner. TOTALLY boner.
Yeah, I think we just uncovered the first track off of "Thrusting In Your Face"...
1. Totally Boner
Lovely
I just got Season 6 of Curb & I'm in the process of watching that & Season 9 of Seinfeld.
Curb is a great show but there really is NO comparison. Take the last episode of Curb that I watched - Marty Funkhouser's Mum dies & Larry steals the flowers; sure it's funny but it's all been done on the same show many times before...Larry screws up, Cheryl gets pissed, Jeff's wife throws a handful of expletives at Larry, Larry tries to make things right but ends up making things worse.
Compare that to the last Seinfeld I watched - the Merv Griffin Show & the 2 shows really shouldn't be discussed in the same sentence together.
Don't get me wrong, I love Curb & Larry is funnier than Jerry if you're going to make direct comparisons but Larry is Curb & that's about it. Sure, Jeff is likeable enough but he's no George, Richard Lewis is funny but he's no Kramer, Susie Green is funny but she's a one trick pony...& that's about it for Curb. With Seinfeld you've still got Elaine (my least fav of the four but she still has some classic moments...like dancing @ the work party!) George's parents (Frank Costanza...c'mon!!!) Newman, David Puddy, J. Peterman & Jackie Chiles etc etc etc
With Seinfeld you're only minutes, if not seconds, away from the next laugh out loud joke, the same just can't be said for Curb.
I must have watched every episode of Seinfeld at least 3 times or more. When I'm done with Season 9 I'll get straight back to Season 1 & start again. With Curb, as much as I love Larry, I'll take a break.
I agree with everything you say db, however I actually find myself enjoying Curb even more the second time I watch it.
Do you guys remember the episode when Larry wanted to get the wire removed from his back yard, but needed the approval of his neighbor, so he told him he would set up a meeting between him and Julia Louise Dreyfus. Classic.
