The forum is getting a lot of traffic around here with the new album coming out soon, so I wanted to once again invite everyone to join the My Morning Jacket Fan Club on Facebook. There are many familiar faces there, including a dozen or so forum members and a few other noteworthy people, too.
It seems like just yesterday when we met our goal of 500 members. Now, we're expect to reach the 1,500 member mark by next month!
You can join up at this link,

Or you can find us in the official "Links" page here at MMJ...

Weren't you and Tom dueling it out for membership with competing groups at one point?
Anyway, everyone should join the group.
And Brad, it was good to hear from you, look forward to seeing you and Meg at Waterfront Park!

We're gracious winners, though - Tom is one of our top officers at the group.
:P ;)

I think I would have joined long ago but I can't understand facebook... I can understand a lot of thing for being 30 and getting to a tech-retarded phase in my life but myspace and facebook are aweful websites.

kory--i agree completely-- i can barely maneuver in facebook--plus you don't get to post a song like myspace, which i understand a little, at least

Yep. I only recently joined Facebook (and the fan club), but I really don't get why people claim that they can spend hours tooling around on there. Tres mysterioso...
How long has it been since I've (a) written a proper letter on nice paper to a friend; or (b) received a proper handwritten letter written on any sort of paper??? Far too long, friends, faaaar too long. I think this is why some of us enjoyed the mix tape exchange so much. That was both a good idea and a good time. :)
I think myspace is an aweful place. I don't mind Facebook, it doesn't seem as bad and there are some fun applications.

i like myspace because i have all my favorite bands as friends and i get updates on everything--it's easier to use (IMO)..facebook you get all these stupid 'you've been slapped' or 'you've been tarred and feather'd' or how do you know this person? it's annoying! and you can't censor people's comments---i have some pretty raunchy friends lol...!
I recently got a facebook so i just joined as well ;)
joined.
me, too.
I also have joined this cult group.
so funny that i joined the facebook fan club w/o knowing it was forum folks! nice!
i'm back online and can't wait to see MMJ in Sept in my new town!
