I'm sure this tour will be a lot of fun, even if Dave Foley looks like hell. All the guys minus Foley (fuck you Dave and that fucking poker shit) have gone on to do good work too, so this is kind of a feel good tour for the fans instead of some kind of dead rock band regrouping for an easy cash-in.
It will be great to see them doing many of their great skits again; hopefully they'll be doing some new stuff. Their cruising gay coffee shop "Steps" skit just won't be the same however, since that infamous section of "Boys Town" in Toronto is now a Vietnamese restaurant.
I went to a live taping of their CBC TV show back in '92 or '93, so I don't feel the big urge to go to this tour, even if it is at Massey Hall, a place I would love to see MMJ booked in.
oh man--i might have to check that out!
I got to see these guys live in Louisville back in 2000 and it was just an awesome show. They flowed in and out of the skits perfectly.
I hope they bring their "house band" Shadowy Men From A Shadowy Planet with them on tour. Their instrumental music was important to the mood and flow of the show.

that would be so good. or at least brian connelly. (the bass player passed away a few years back)
hey, maybe they could get atomic 7 to be the backup band -

What about Newsradio?
I would like to see this but no Pittsburgh date.

Was there a more overrated sitcom in the 90's? Foley has been coasting ever since his NewsRadio days.
I'm contemplating going. I loved them back in the day. I think I'm one of the few that actually liked the movie also. Come on, Cancer Boy? How the hell is that not funny?

I've only seen snippets of Brain Candy. Interestingly, the single from the Brain Candy soundtrack, "Butts Wigglin", by Canadian supergroup The Tragically Hip, was a hit in the Great White North. One of that band's best-ever singles.

Learn something new everyday! I found the movie great, but again, I think I'm in the minority.
