Thanks a lot!!! I'm a little nervous - its a real vulnerable feeling/complete lack of any control. But its a hernia, and the doc said it wasn't a bad one - hopefully I'm not down too long - but I'll be at home for a few days - I'll keep ya'll informed - thanks for keeping me in mind. :)

Good luck Paul! I had hernia surgery when I was real young, don't even remember it really. I'm still here though! :)

Just came back from Lizking's and thought I should give an update, this thread getting a bit ominous. He's laid up but recovering. Maybe he'll regain the strength to type soon.

Hola! Thanks for all good vibes!!! I've been able to read, I just haven't been able to sit up & type.

Finally I've been able to get up move around a little. I never realized how much you use your lower abs until you cant. I've got 3 one-inch holes starting at my belly button & going down. Everythings still pretty sore. Walking has been reduced to a slow hobble, but I'm up & going now!

They put a piece of mesh inside my lower abdominal cavity to close the hole. Pumped me full of pain killers & sent me home. I've been getting plenty of movie/nap time. Hopefully, I can drive soon - its actually a nice break, not driving for a few days.

Getting plenty of rest & trying to recover.

Gotta sign off - i thinks its about nap time
