The amp: Mesa Trem o Verb
James pedals include:
Boss Blues Driver(Jim uses the amp distortion most and uses the blues driver as a lead boost.
MXR Phase 90
Two Boss Turner Pedals used as bypass between electric and acoustic guitars
Boss Digital Reverb

The Flying V is a 1998 Limited edition.
I think thats all.

Has anybody ever played a tremoverb? Is it a quality amp? Any comments on it I'm interested in buying one...

If you like the Boogie sound, Trem-O-Verbs are good amps. In Boogies, I still prefer the Mark IV, but that's probably my favorite all-time high-powered amp (80 watts).

Mesa amps are OK, I can think of a lot better amps that are hand made and hand wired without the plastic PC boards (Dr. Z, Savage Audio, Carr, Burriss, Bruno, or just a regular good old Fender as lonng as it's not made after 1975 etc...), but Mesa amps are very loud, built for playing gigs (and too many bells and whistles).  You aren't gonna like a Trem O Verb for playing in your bedroom or garage.  Jim also uses a Gibson ES335 Dot Neck Reissue and the new guitarist (Carl) uses the new Mesa Boogie "Lone Star" with Les Paul Standards and a Les Paul Gold Top with p-90 pickups.  Tommy uses a Mesa Boogie Bass 400+ (all tube bass amp) and Danny used (and the new guy Bo uses) a 1965 Fender Twin Reverb reissue...  Ok, I guess that's it for me-

hey, those mesas sound great.  but they're pretty much based on an old fender bassman.  Loosely, of course, but it sounds to me like a twin reverb that can overdrive if you want it to.

my opinion: mesas are great if you can afford them but fender twins are cheaper, easier to come by and pretty versitile.

those mesas are kind of fragile, i've 'heard'... sound great but too much for me, anyway..

i love fender amps with my whole heart-it could totally explode with my love for fender amps.. is that stupid?

According to March's issue of the Guitarist mag they apart from the Mesa Boogie Tremoverbs also used a couple of Blue Angel 15-watt amps in the studio. Lots of reverb in those!

They also used some Marshalls and Fender Twins on the record.
