Title: Snake ID help

this guy is hanging around in my creek. Pretty sure he's harmless, but does anyone know what kind of snake this is?

Slowly...back...away.  That is the humanous biteamous, and if it even looks in your direction, you're dead within 7 minutes.

It doesn't look like a water moccasin. It kinda looks like a rat snake....but in the water....hmmmm...I would investigate a little more. Snakes are great but the wrong bite :-/

Coming from an area with a lot of snakes, I would just about certainly say that snake is not venomous.

Looks like a rat snake to me too.....leave him be.Keeps you mice free.
