I'm on my overnight shift schedule this week and this year I'm working Christmas Eve and Day from 7pm to 7am. Pretty depressing since my hometown is 3 hours by car away and my wife will be in her hometown which is an hour drive away.
Anyway, I'm bringing beer to work tonight so maybe after three or four tallboys of Kronenbourg 1664 (France beer) I'll be visited by three of Dickens' ghosts?
Yep. Working right now and not getting out early, like everyone else has. I'm the last on my floor. Also working Friday morning even though the company is officially shut down.
So jealous of the Kronenbourg. That is damn fine stuff and not avail in St Louis, that's I've found.
I have vaca 12/19--1/4 8-)
I work for a casino (Mohegan Sun) and they are open 24/7/365. I however, am off Wednesdays and Thursdays. 8-)

Shit I never knew you were a fellow New Englander Ghost! I love seeing BOC in the Wolf Den whenever they come through. What part of the casino do you work in?
We worked a 1/2 a day today. WHY.. I have no friggin idea. All my customers are pretty much closed until monday. I guess I could re-fill my bosses TAMPON machine.

Ha, I'm not. I work in the one in WIlkes-Barre, PA. I bartend/barback.
You live in CT? We have trips up the the one in CT, but I never went yet, I want to though. From what I've seen it's really nice there, although I'm not much of a gambler.
Very quiet here at the station tonight. I've almost finished my 2nd Kronenbourg beer and will be firing up It's A Wonderful Life soon. I just watched the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol, aka: Scrooge. Why Sim and the film itself weren't nominated for Oscars I'll never know - it's a perfect film. The Reginald Owen version from 1938 is great but my all-time favourite take on A Christmas Carol was WKRP in Cincinnati's.
worked today - man did people really want coffee. and they were very generous regarding gratuities. witnessing one of my coworkers explaining to a younger one how the whole santa story came from someone's mushroom trip was my day's highlight.

Niiiice.
The highlight of my night at Borders was buying an Iron Maiden album ten minutes to close and replacing the Christmas tunes with said album, only to have my boss wig out and yoink it out of the cd player. After close, back in with the Maiden. Made it all the way through the album this time.
Also, answering the phones as gleefully as possible to really hopeful voices asking us when we closed, only to respond with with absolute cheer that we had closed at seven. So many wonderful let-downs. It's not Christmas unless you're ruining it for someone!
;)
I'm at work right now. It sucks being alone, but at least I get to play some awesome Xmas tunes!
... And since I'm starting a new job, this will be the last Christmas I have to work!
:)

Southern MA--near the CT line. I really like just going to there for shows as I don't gamble much either the scenery and architecture is awesome. I wasn't aware Mohegan had more than 1 location.

Yeah, the Wilkes-Barre one is the only other one.
