Oh man, now I'm gonna start having those First Lady fantasy dreams again...
It's the final hour of the Bush adminstration!!

i had tears in my eyes---BO inherited a sh*t storm but i feel good w/him at the helm. it's sad that people can't see past refundable tax credits and his middle name and see the bigger picture. historic moment ;-)
It was cool being a school teacher on such a historic day.
And what a beautiful new day it is!
I cried in front of my whole firm. Thankfully I wasn't the only one.
all 2000 of us watched it at school.

Amen brother. Amen
It was a special day on so many levels.Thankfully my son was out of school and we watched together.I told him to never forget this day and what it means.
Perhaps the most wonderful moment of all was watching George W. Bush ride off into the sky in the helicopter.
It's a new day. :)
Didn't get to see the ceremony due to work commitments, but I did tear up on the ride home from work while listening to NPR - the first time I heard him called president Obama.
What a country.

Notice how Bush looks relieved and Cheney looks...well, like Cheney. This was probably the best day in at least 3 years for Dubya. I got caught up in it today. I am happy to be alive for this. I honestly believe he is the right man for the job right now. At least now it doesn't matther what the naysayers say ...PRESIDENT Barack Obama.

Unless they decide to vacation in Europe, that is - then we might see them in The Hague.

I couldn't watch it live but heard it live on the radio and I actually teared up the second Aretha started singing. Older, cold, it didn't matter...without having to see her hat, that rendition of of Oh Country gave me the chills.
Also, the new composition by John Williams was also beautiful. As with sports, perhaps I didn't get the entire picture of the moment as one would on TV, but listening on radio made it a much more interactive and wonderful experience.
What a day :)
I was talking to my mom about the musical guests at the inaugural balls last night; she was like, "Beyonce, Alicia Keys...why didn't Jim James write a song for Obama?" ;D
I've created a monster.
