Title: anyone got a 2nd gen ipod nano collecting dust?
Post by: Kory on Jan 19, 2009, 04:49 PM
I'm wanting to pick up a used nano (2nd gen) to record shows with. I formerly was a MD taper but had moved on to a JB3 that bit the dust. I really just record local bands that don't get taped..
Anyone have one they'd be willing to part with so I don't have to get ripped off from a stranger on ebay?

I was thinking about upgrading (lemmeee leemmmeee upgrade upgrade) but I don't think you want my old Nano.   The menu button only works on days when the temperature is between 67 and 82 degrees, the humidity is 76% and the moon is at 3/4.   That may eliminate a few shows.

Plus, if I see that Beyonce' commercial one more time I'm going to throw the ipod thru my TV.

Haha! I actually don't think i;d need the menu button much. the italk adapter to mics thing I have auto navigates to the voice recorder when plugged in and then you only need the play button.
If you ever upgrade, let me know as I still may not have found one.

Oh, no doubt.  In fact she's the one my wife would choose if she had to go gay.  Which makes her even more attractive. ;D

But I much prefer this video.  It's intoxicating.

Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh Oh Oh Oh O

So you can record on a Nano?

yes, losslessly in stereo with a griffin iTalk... I picked one up on ebay brand new for 12 buckers shipped.
It works on my 5th gen ipod classic and wifes 4th gen ipod video but i need a flash source as the constant spinning of the Hard drive in the ipod is bad for business and battery life, let alone you can hear it in the recordings... It has a line in too for powered mics! very good solution for the dirt poor taper like myself.

I've decided to go back to recording on my JB3 so if anyone needs a griffin italk for a 2nd-3rd gen ipod nano or a 4th or 5th gen ipod classic let me know. I'll part with it for cheaplike!
