Today is the 40th "birthday" of the greatest children's show of all time. I thought I would start this thread in hopes of our being able to share favorite Sesame Street moments.
Does it get any more epic than this?

When I was a little kid, my mom had a Sesame Street record she'd play for us. I used to LOVE singing along to "Rubber Duckie."
Big fan of the Count, too:

And how awesome was "Muppet News Flash?"

I remember when I was young I always thought the big dog only had one eye in the middle of his head, because his eyes were covered and you could only see his nose.

Once, a long while ago, my family and I upped that count a bit when we were driving thru Wilkes-Barre :)
Turns out that Sesame Street and I are almost the same age. I was (am) a big fan. Loved Big Bird. And Snuffy. And Cookie. And Count. Was middle of the road on Oscar...could never quite figure him out. All of the Spanish that I've ever known came from SS.
C is for Cookie is actually my theme song. Actually, had I been thinking, that would have been a great song to use for introductions on to the basketball court. :)
For you "Count" fans

Thank you, I'd forgotten all about that. Probably the reason why I appreciate jazz and funk music today.
It's the reason I can count to 12. ;)
I love Sesame Street...even had the fisher price play set for Sesame Street (it had the lamp post, 2 apartment buildings, all the main characters, and I also remember Big Bird's nest).

I remember watching the show with all the original cast members - yep, I'm old. Great great show. Anyone remember the educational clip with Bentley from The Jeffersons drawing numbers on bread with mustard?
