Thought I'd see what forum members are driving these days. If you don't have a car, or don't have the car you want, what is your wish?
Here's my current mode of transport, and I'm
very happy with it. It replaces a 2001 model.
SUBARU- the state car of New Hampshire!
2009 Subaru Foresterall-wheel drive (standard and a must for my driveway)
sunroof (becomes a moonroof at night!)
heated seats (gotta love warm ass on winter morn)
Sirius radio (tuned to Sirius Left or GD Channel; programmed to alert for MMJ or MoF tunes)
6-CD changer (always loaded with MMJ)
mp3/AUX input (usually connected to 30GB Creative Zen Vision M)
leather (first time in 8 cars owned thus far)
gets about 26 mpg (not bad for AWD, especially the way I drive)
uhhhh, I drive a 2001 Ford Focus with 163,000+ miles on it and plan to drive it until it literally falls apart. Only because I'm not "allowed" to go get another car. Nothing says I'm important, I'm successful, I'm a busy man, man like a 9 year POS.
I want an Avenger. I've gotten them a few times as a rental and was pleased with it.
I drive a 2004 BMW 530i. I bought it in 2007 as 'certified pre-owned' and it came with a 2 year/50,000 mile warranty (this was a huge factor in my decision to buy). Some of my buddies give me a hard time about driving a BMW, but none of them have a reply when I tell them what I paid and ask how much they spent on their decked-out Jeeps or trucks. It is a lot of fun to drive on windy country roads!
Oh, and I am aware that according to some people that driving a BMW makes me a prick. ::)

Hey man, not a bad car. Its got over 163K on 'er. We owned a 2001 Focus wagon after our first (of 3) daughters was born. Don't forget, I'm a 42 year old high school science teacher, so I've done my POS time. Let's see if I can remember them all...
1982 Plymouth Reliant K (no AC, no FM radio, no nuthin)
1980 Toyota pickup (could see the road through the floor)
1985 Isuzu P'up (pickup; ugly brown POS)
1989 Dodge Shadow (kinda gay, no offense)
1989 Chevy Camaro (my wife's, actually)
1999 Ford Ranger (bare bones model)
1996 Geo Prism (good mileage POS)
1998 Geo Prism (replacement after major accident totalled the '96)
2001 Ford Focus wagon (the wife drove it)
2007 Ford Freestyle (the wife's current car)
2001 Subaru Forester
2009 Subaru Forester
You prick!
Man, I need to get in the pilot biz!
....I currently drive a 2003 Chevy Malibu, maroon. Have had it for almost 6 months. Had to get rid of the 1999 Audi A6 Quattro because she needed extensive exhaust system repairs, as well as other stuff, and it just wasnt worth it at 138,000 miles. Before that, I drove a 1989 Honda Accord. "Old Blue" travelled much of the country on many a Phish tour, and will always have a place in my memories

Until I fell in love with Subaru, a BMW was my fantasy. It looks great! And I don't think your car makes you a prick. It could be so many other things (just kidding).
1994 honda accord with 160,000, I friggin HATE car payments. She's a runner.
2004 Harley-Davidson Dyna Lowrider
2008 Harley-Davidson Sportser Nightster
I can't wait until it starts to warm up so I can get out of the cage and into the wind.
Our grocery getter/mountain bike hauler is a 2004 Dodge Durango. We bought it used as well. The AWD makes winter driving a breeze. Over all, it has been a pretty good truck. Don't ask me why someone parked this one in a stream because I don't know.

I acutally have a friend who's grandfather made a plane out of a 1964 Corvair. It actually got off the ground (barely) at an airshow in Massachusetts back in the late 1980s.

Ha! I have looked into the carplane and the insurance is too pricey. It handles as if it is on a cushion of air.
That is interesting about your buddy's grandfather...

Lets see on the POS front (and I'm not a teacher even though that is my degree).
81 Citation
78 Tbird (this was a big old pimpin mobile)
81 Mustang Hatchback
91 Tbird
94 Accord
99 Breeze
01 Focus

Ha! What's the difference between a BMW and a Porcupine?
The pricks are on the OUTSIDE of the porcupine.
I also hate to tell people I drive a BMW cause it comes with a lot of negative connotations. "Ohh, a BMW, fancy." Uh, yeah, I paid half what you did for your Diesel F250. The only thing I am more passionate about than BMWs and BMW motorsports is My Morning Jacket. I love formula one and GT road racing.

Yes, I was sold after doing a autocross in one 10 years ago. The handling and breaking performance is just amazing. I just turned 110K miles on it and have not had any major issues. Knock on wood.
On another note, this car is going to be the first major revolution in electric vehicles, mark my words:

Hopefully this will make you feel better.....mine's not an M! I got the image from Yahoo images and didn't notice the M part.
Mine's a 3.0 litre Coupe, nice and fast but not THAT fast!

The stock seat is not exactly comfy, but padded shorts help. Yank that beast off of the garage wall and hit the trails!
2004 Hyundai Elantra - so far no problems with it after 100,000 miles of hard pizza delivery. I got it on Ebay as a recovered stolen vehicle with only 6000 miles on it. Got a really good deal on this one. Bought it in 2004 with about 100,000 miles on it. Despite the high miles, the car was in literally like-new condition. It was driven by an older couple, almost all highway miles since it was new. I got a $40,000 new car for $4,000. Heated leather. 6 disc changer. premium stereo. it had all the options. great highway cruiser. as much as i like this car, I'm ready for something sportier. My next daily driver might be a:

It's got a 455 with Edelbrock carb and Performer RPM intake, aftermarket cam, headers, K&N filter, aftermarket plug wires, distributor recurve kit. The engine itself has forged H-beam rods, forged pistons, new crank. It's a fairly mild 455, with only about 350-375hp (estimated), but around 480 lb-ft of torque. It gets off the line in a hurry. It did have a 4.10 rear end, but now it has a 3.55 for better highway driving. With all the torque I really don't need the 4.10. It has a TH400 transmission. Someday I want some new cylinder heads and a bigger carb and cam, which should get me up around 550hp.

Dodge Charger
Dodge Viper
Lincoln Town Car
Corvette
Chevy Camaro
Pontiac Firebird
Paulie I cant see the pic either and I need to know a year and model (cobra, etc) please

It says its a GT, but not sure what year.
That's my boy...If I had the money I'd buy the best eco car I could, however Eleanor and this 1967 Shelby Cobra Roadster would probably get a fair shake.

Nice avant Mark! I love sport wagons and don't understand americans distaste for them.
I blame this guy and this car for our hatred of the wagon.

You guys crack me up... good times
I drive a giant gas guzzling '02 Chevy 2500 HD with the king cab and extended bed, talk about a bitch to park. Its good for cold days when shrinkage is a problem, makes me feel good about myself. Also a member of the prick club I suppose. I prefer to drive our 4runner, much smoother ride and better mileage, although its not great either. The 4 wheel drive is nice and it will haul balls which is great for my aggressive driving habits. If you see me behind you don't worry though, it's a Japanese made model and we haven't had any of the safety issues....yet

I used to support the theory that dick size was inversely proportional to truck size, the only way I could drive this in public (not actually me but very close approximation to the 1984 Isuzu P'up I had after college in 1989)

Got a '01 2500 HD with about 600 lbs in the trunk for snow traction and to smooth out the ride. I love it because it can crank up a VT hill fully loaded at 80 mph and not even stammer...

Is yours 4X4? Mine is rear wheel, which blows. My tires spin almost every time a take off, partly because the rear wheel drive, partly because its chipped to put out about 450hp and it has too much power for its own good. I've been meaning to put some weight in the back, it drives much better when I have a yard or 2 of dirt in the bed

Yeah it is a 4x4. Also have a Roll n Lock cover which cuts the wind resistance considerably. Low miles because I have a 3 minute commute. Really a great vehicle and have never had a problem...
Bought this yesterday...

Well you win. You have the BEST kind of car. A NEW car!
That is a badass ride. My wife wants to get one, and I'm pretending to be aloof, but deep down I really can't wait to start making some money again and buy one
Soon, it will be warm enough...

;D Hey just take it to autotire and get some new ones. They are 65/45-ZR4s. You could upgrade and get some new chrome 5s to fit if you want.
Just discovered this...

Sweet, I'm gonna be rollin' dirty...or whatever it is the kids say these days.
And soon was sooner that I thought...I rode the bike back to work this afternoon after lunch. Today is a beautiful day.
I have a dark grey 2004 Mazda 3. Great car, but I'm considering selling it and living without a car (I take transit often, and I ride my bike and walk a lot). I'm becoming anti-car the older I get, however I might get a Vespa...

I almost bought a new mazda3. They are great cars.
I went car-free for a few months recently. It was a pain sometimes but I saved a ton of money.

I also almost bought a new Mazda 3. I probably would have if they hadn't remodeled the shit out of it and made it look all ...idk..... umm...'asian girly'.. i guess. The mid 2000 models were hot but I seriously can't stand the 2010s. [smiley=thumbdown.gif]
