I don't care how old you are ;) everyone loves a Birthday thread!
Hope you had a good one & all the best for the rest of 2010 Jaimoe [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I don't care how old I am either, and I still got it, even if my wife and I are living apart - for now. It's for the best and we are working things out. I really appreciate the late birthday well-wished, DB, especially the picture of the Allmans at the Fillmore.
Here's a pic with my good buddy Nick (he's on the right) on my actual birthday, last Friday, at a Toronto pub. I was three sheets to the wind on Ontario micro brew pale ale pints.

Really pleased to hear you guys are working things out Jaimoe. This one's for you!

I have both Duane Allman Anthologies, so I do indeed know and love his guitar on "Hey Jude". Thanks for that.
I never did post any of my Olympic photos, although my avatar is from the Olympics, complete with my red CTV Olympic jacket. Anyway, here's a drunken picture of me with the fucking and even drunker idiot lead singer from the fucking awful fake punk band, All American Rejects. I asked a coworker to take the shot "with that fucking idiot". I said to the Rejects dude: "Hey, I'm a giant fan".
Can't you tell?

That's a classic! ;D ;D ;D
This one's for all the Allman Brothers and Beck fans:

Happy Birthday, Jai Johanny Johanson!
The All American Rejects are from my town, Stillwater, OK! I don't like them either.
Happy belated Birthday

You are kicking my ass DB. Thanks to you too CrispYY and mjk73.
My favourite Duane session work is when he did slide on Cowboy's "Please Be With Me", but I can't find the alternate take on youtube that's featured on the Anthology.
Anyway, here's my all-time favourite Allmans tune (it may be the greatest white blues tune too), featuring some stellar live slide from Brother Duane, from the Fillmore, 1970.

You need to tape this one onto a C-90 & do a Lloyd Dobler!

I love the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack better than the film, which is high praise. Thanks again DB.
Here's a great live version of "Kick Out The Jams", although not from the album (BTW, for some reason, I can't link youtube videos like everyone else seems to be able to do).

I looked a that one but they cut out 'Muthaf*ckers' @ the start so I ignored it.
Just click on the 'insert media' (media][/media) 2 along from insert image...you know that part right?
I played the original for the boy (totally forgot to edit it). He loved it.
It seems to be working!

Oh shit, Bob Ross showed up @ Jaimoe's Birthday Party :D :D :D
I'm saving this one for later when we're all coming up...

Bob rules. No Isro for the boy, however hes dropped a few Fbombs since then. I couldn't punish him as he used them correctly, and i was laughing to hard.
I was thinking out Maggot Brain. Love Eddie Hazel. Also, here's the greatest guitar solos ever from the greatest ever (rare video from the actual and orignal Band of Gypsies live album).
Edit: I copied the Machine Gun link, but it seems to copy a previous post's link. WTF???????

Oh shit! Looks like MJ went ahead & ordered the Paul Newman look-a-like-strip-o-gram I told him not too...& he's already got his top off :D :D :D

Enjoy your pint(s)! Is your pint the size of the Pauliner helles I'm hoisting from last year's Oktoberfest in Munich? Note: I don't think that picture looks like the usual me - I think I was tired, although the Oktoberfest hat is indeed funny looking.

I'm at work right now; it's day one of my 2 weeks of night shifts. At least the weather in Toronto has been unseasonably warm. I had shorts on today, which is a rarity in early April.

Ummmm no, unfortunately not! When I was over there my friend took one of those pints and carried it around in his backpack. He ended up shipping it home some time shortly thereafter once we arrived in Italy.
I will have pint(s) in your honor then. (Heading out for Spoon)
Glad you had great weather. I ordered it specially for your birthday! :)
