My condolences.
cute lil f*ckers :-/ sorry, Chode
Thanks everyone,
The other two are sure to follow soon. As has been our experience - they all seem to have a cosmic bond. So it goes. The good news is that it's our third rat generation, and these guys lived the longest (3 years is very good for rats)
Anecdote: Their diets are largely made of left overs with a mixture of store bought rat food. The previous rats were fed the left overs after nights of drinking, in other words, lots of greasy fried food (which also caused us to gain a lot of weight). They died after 2 years.
Now that we've been on a diet and eating healthy and not doing the late-night diner raids, these guys were fed mainly fruits and grains and lived at least 6 months-1 year longer

Sorry to hear that, Choder! Have you every read "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nihm"? I know it's a "kid's book" but it's fucking great!
Sorry Chode.
