Title: Flattr!
Post by: SaraBananaBear on Aug 01, 2010, 01:52 PM
Here in Sweden some people have been working on developing a social micropayment platform that lets you show love for the things you like and I think it's really cool. So I just wanted to share it with you guys and gals and hear what you think?

This is deliciously genius. How's it going in Sweden with it so far?

Yeah I think so too! I hope it works out and that it gets more and more popular. And even though the company is based in Sweden, the beta testings are not country bound, so other countries are trying it out too. It seems to be going well so far, they're doing some adjustments here and there. If you're interested you can read the Flattr blog on their site: http://blog.flattr.com/

Thanks for the post SBB.  This is my first time hearing of it.  It seems to be an idea with promise if done right.  I find it hilarious to hear the Pirate Bay founder waxing poetic about Pirate Bay not being meant to "Pirate" and this is to somehow make amends for the "unimaginable" direction that his torrent site went in. ;D

Hahaha, aww, but he was always the nice, idealistic, political one of the bunch, I think he's telling the truth, from his point of view. The other two on the other hand... well, they kept the legal section (http://thepiratebay.org/legal) amusing!  ;)
