Wow.

I never really knew about him until this past season of Last Comic Standing and thought he was easily the best part of the show, contestants included. Then once he got his 10 minute routine late in the season, money just like I expected.

Its funny (not funny, but surprising/weird) how some of the funniest people around like Giraldo, Mitch Hedberg, etc. die from OD's. I wouldnt peg most of these people to be hard drug users, but theyre gone before you know it.

Giraldo was funny as fuck in the limited time I saw him. Honestly, one of the best comedians going and I awaited to see more

Forgot to say too, that link said he graduated from Columbia and got a masters law degree at Harvard. He was clearly an intelligent guy, but thats another level of smarts. Man, I miss the dude already because as soon as I saw/heard him do stand up, I loved him, but I didnt realize that until a month or so ago  :-/

This is the best commemoration I can do for Giraldo  :)

Guess I'm pretty clueless, never heard of the guy - but listened to the clip and thought he was pretty funny.

he's famous for those comedy central roasts, he was always one of the best roasters.  can't find many on youtube, this seems like the most popular one I can find but all Greg's appearance were hilarious.

I can't believe this. Man I loved this guy. He was great on the Roasts. But he was just as great on Tough Crowd and Root of All Evil.

RIP Greg

Yeah, I also liked Giraldo and it seemed like he was just hitting his stride with his career.  Shitty news!

I found it more interesting that Hedberg and Giraldo both died in NJ

With that said, I don't think his OD was the same. Coroner ruled it accidental I think, and it was prescriptions. I guess we can presume abuse, but I always give benefit of the doubt.

Hedberg's heart just gave out from all the Heroin

he made leary look like such a douchebag with such few words, deservingly so.  I still can't believe he died, we needed that dude around.  his style almost reminded me of george carlin or something but way more intense.  maybe I'm just wasted.

Greg Giraldo's Mid Life Vices is my favorite comedy album. I was seriously bummed and in disbelief when someone first told me this. He was coming to Louisville in December, and my gal and I were attending. What a bummer.
