I don't think anyone saw this coming:

Hmmmm was never a fan. I may check out some of the tracks on itunes to see if it is any good though.
buaawwww- start with their first album Silent Alarm. I think it's fantastic. Follow up is alright, but no where near as good.
Thanks for the heads up Dark. I'm suprised by this, but hey I'll take what I can get.
I was impressed with the debut, 'silent alarm'. The drums are killer. Haven't heard anything else, so this is a treat. Thx.
Just listened, and I have to say that this is a far better record than Weekend in the City. Drums are top-notch. I think this will end up on my end-of-year top ten if it doesn't fade out of mind.

Really now, did you have to bring Evil Urges into this? Is it really the standard setter for every non-hipster-approved album? The rest of the review is also pretty ignorant.
i think i pretty much hate pitchfork now
I really don't care for Bloc Party. I didn't like them, then I saw them at Lollapalooza and now I really don't like them.
That being said, I hope those of you who do like them, enjoy this album. If for no other reason than to further prove that Pitchfork doesn't know shit.
