Obviously I agree with that since I'm gaga about all things Floyd, but I do like the Strokes.  I think I like Albert Hammond Jr. solo work even better.  

Anything in particular spur this thread on Tracy?

i don't like albert's solo stuff---he can't write songs (blech)...the strokes have a few good ones, though--

As far as The Strokes I think they opened the door for lots of true rock bands that have come out in the last few years.
