Great choices, Ali. I haven't watched any music videos/dvds for years, but these three really stick in the mind.
that yes video with the worms.
and that thor video.
Waiting on a Friend - The Rolling Stones
- it may be the funniest videos ever... unintentionally.
This Note's For You - Neil Young
- if you know the controversy surrounding the satire/parody of this video, then this video should make everyone's list... plus it's a killer song done live.
Let Forever Be - Chemical Brothers (with great vocals by Noel Gallagher)
- reminds me of the great German movie Run Lola Run.
Any video by Sloan, but if I have to choose one, it would be Money City Maniacs
- great Canadian band with perfect videos.
Lovers in a Dangerous Time - Barenaked Ladies
- a cover of a Bruce Cockburn classic that perfectly captures the bleak side of life in suburban Scarborough (a massive sprawling suburb of Toronto 'affectionately' called Scarberia).
Just - Radiohead
- killer song and a really interesting video. Radiohead has some of the best videos.
Hurt - Johnny Cash
- the video makes me cry
New Noise - The Refused
- disbanded hardcore punk band's heaviest song and video featuring a guitar riff from hell
We're Not Gonna Take It - Twisted Sister
This video still kills me.

Haven't listened to The Shape of Punk To Come in a long time. Might dig it out. Don't like very much screaming in my music but they're an exception.

starting at exactly the 1min and 33 sec mark of that video the answer to all of our questions about life and why we are here are answered. Thank you for revealing this to me.

you know, the funny thing about it is I did get a big question answered. It became very clear to me why the 80's appeared to suck so bad; it's b/c rock stars had to figure out (quickly) how to be in front of a camera and take direction. It's obvious from this video what happens when big time stars are faced with a dilema of making a video or not (and back then, EVERYONE who was ANYONE was cutting a video).
thanks, I'll be ponderng that for a bit.
I don't know what your talking about Tracy, that Video is just a few cameras set up at one of his live shows, no acting going on at all, it's all off the cuff action. You know what, Bruce just looks like he was doing a bad Elvis imitation, but there is just no excuse for whatever it is that sax player was doing or the way Max looked.
