Hello! I am a big fan of good concert videos, of all kinds of genres, some videos just seem to capture a certain something better than others. In fact, the Okonokos DVD was my first purchase of MMJ's (I'm a relatively newer fan) and it alone cemented them as one of my all-time fav's.
ANYWAYS, some other favourites from my DVD collection include:
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense
David Bowie - A Reality Tour
Stevie Ray Vaughn - Live at the El Mocambo
Gorillaz - Demon Days Live
Pearl Jam - Immagine en Cornice
Prince - Rave Un2 the Year 2000
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Live at Slane Castle
and of course The Last Waltz
(and Roger Waters live in Berlin is equal parts cool and uncool)
I have others but those ones are best. Just wondering, anybody got any suggestions for other cool DVD's, both obscure and otherwise? I'm always looking to beef up my collection.
*(note): I don't like Phish.
Concert for George- a must have.
Clapton's Guitar Fest- I have the second.
Grateful Dead Movie-Cause I'm a head. Really, it's great.
Just a few that come to mind.
I actually bought Crossroads'07 for my dad, you're right, it is awesome, I should make myself a copy.
one of my favorites. Plus, it's got jawas, scientists, wizards, fanatics and roadies.

My top 5 in no order:
OKONOKOS
Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii
Roger Waters - In The Flesh
The Last Waltz
Neil Young - Rust Never Sleeps
Honorable Mention
The White Stripes - Under Blackpool Lights
Apart from Okonokos that would be:
Metallica - S & M (I discovered Metallica through that, it's awesome)
Nirvana - Unplugged in NY (very intense concert by a truely great band)
Nine Inch Nails - And all that could have been (Trent Reznor at his finest, the version of Hurt is the best one I've ever heard of him, and, I think the title is awesome)
Pearl Jam - Immagine in Cornice (probably my favourite band during the last two years, this DVD is one constant reminder of how much passion there is in their live shows. I think I've watched/listened to the version of "Come Back" more than any other song lately (2years) I love it)
oops, here's another one
RUSH in Rio

Under Blackpool Lights kicks ass.
Not really a concert DVD, but Wilco~I am trying to break your heart is pretty awesome and I'm sure the new, actual concert dvd, Ashes of American Flags is going to be awesome as well.

I was watching R30 the other night and I must say Rush live is much better sans digital dragons. I was actually transfixed....then I just started laughing, I think I had a flashback of you playing a solo on a fork or something. :-*
