Anybody pick up Dylan's new album today?
I have given it a listen and I like! It's very bluesy with a nice rustic feel to it. At this point I can't say I like it more than Modern Times, but it's close. There isn't really one song that sticks out to me yet. When I heard Modern Times I was immediately attracted to Workingman's Blues.
I will probably give this record at least 20 more spins.
I've listened to it a few times now, and I still like Modern Times better than Together through life. Still, it's a great album, it's great to listen to and every song is pretty good, but as you said, I haven't found one really outstanding song yet.
It's a great album. It stands up there with his last 3 pretty well (Modern Times, Love and Theft, Time out of Mind). I do enjoy most of the songs but certainly love beyond here lies nothin' the best so far. That's likely to change by the day though.
I like it a lot....its got a great feel to it...Mike Campbell playing guitar is a big plus.
I'm digging it too. Gets better with each listen.
Yeah, I gave it 2 listens yesterday and it had it's moments but maybe I'll give another go in a day or two.
What I do love is the growl that continues to grow within his voice as he ages.
Waitsish? :-?
Robert Hunter wrote every song with Bob except one on this album-i love it!!
